I honestly like perfection and attention to detail, but I don't understand this blazer thing; given the monstrous delay, he could easily ignore it and fix it with the next update.

Unless he's 10 years old, the game will never end. Either he doesn't want to understand it or he doesn't care. But with 10 - 20 minutes of playing time per year it won't work. It's great art but not a game that will ever be finished
We don't really know because tech can improve development time highly. Also he was faster in the past so who knows what's he's doing now with his time. My advice, ignore the game between updates.

Those people defend Dev for doing his work. He is busy hard worker. Ya ya :poop:
You don't get it? The CONNOR aka the Stopper can't get a boner with this glitch. And as The CONNOR is the main MC in this story, this needs fixing, regardless what you think and if the Stopper is lazy or not. No boner for The CONNOR = no game for you! No boner for The CONNOR = no fucking for Jess....

Clothing, clothing, clothing...
Hi, everyone. I have probably mentioned it before, but the clothes are DAZ Studio's bane. The character figures for the most part work well for any pose that's not too extreme. But the clothing items rarely do. And even more so when you combine clothing items from different sets. And the problem is that it's impossible to say which item is made well, and which will start falling apart on even a simple pose. Some authors are better than others, but even in a single author's work the quality in that department varies.
So I usually choose an outfit, and then try a few poses to see what happens. And depending on how bad the situation is, I can decide to change items from it. Sometimes though an issue sneaks up on you and you see it when the work on the events have already started. This is what happened with Jessica's blazer in this update. I had already made dozens of renders with the outfit, when I noticed a weird issue with the edge of the blazer. It just doesn't smooth out, no matter how much you subdivide, the edge basically acts as if it's low res. For those of you who don't know what that is - A 3D object is made of polygons, the more polygons you have the smoother the surface looks. And the way you add more is by dividing the existing ones. Like this:

The issues was not big, but it does make this jagged edge (like you can see in the first image). And sometimes it would even create a bad clipping with the other clothes (the second image). And it's in a very crucial area, I think you would agree :p
So I had to find a workaround. I won't bore you with the details, but it wasn't something complex. I had to re-render some images, and it did add an annoying extra step in the workflow for each image where Jess is wearing the blazer. But I like how it looks, so I'll probably use it in again the future, however annoying it may be.
Anyway, just thought I should share an interesting tidbit from the work process.

I'm working on the last scene at the moment. It's been a little more complicated than I thought. Not technically, but creatively. I was struggling to find the right approach to what I want to happen in it. I definitely won't make it by the end of the month, so the release of the update will happen in the beginning of September. I'll let you know when all the images are ready, after that I will need a week to finish the writing with Amanda and test it.

Have fun, and thanks for the support.
Well yeah, I mean... The first sentence is all we need in order to know what he's saying, more or less.

"Clothing, clothing, clothing... Hi, everyone. I have probably mentioned it before, but the clothes are DAZ Studio's bane...."

Clothes taking more time, can't make it in August...and so on.
You can call me Nostradamus if you want. No seriously, we all knew this was gonna be his excuse anyway.

Now, this is what's really going on (in my opinion);

He's rendered both images twice. First time the way he wanted them to be, and a second time with faulty parts for this devblog. It's not the clothes taking more time, it's stoper spending less time working on the project and so he's always in need of new excuses to justify the constant slowdown of development for every single update in the past 2-3 years. He's never mentioned issues like that before, ever. It's never taken him such a long time to release a tiny update, ever. So, who exactly is buying this nonsense? Isn't it such a funny coincidence that he couldn't make it in August because of dozens of "faulty" renders, which he's only noticed towards the end of August? Oh no, poor guy!

Anyway, the main focus should be on this particular part:

"I had to re-render some images, and it did add an annoying extra step in the workflow for each image where Jess is wearing the blazer. But I like how it looks, so I'll probably use it in again the future, however annoying it may be."

He's quite literally setting up another excuse for him to use in the future, because he is in dire need of new excuses considering how everything is constantly going downhill. Gotta justify it somehow, right?

Something along the lines of: "Remember what I told you last year? The extra step to make difficult clothing look good? Yeah..that's why it's gonna take another 6 months, this scene is super difficult. Oops, Sorry! Thanks for the support anyway! xoxo"

Seriously, anyone who is buying his statements at this point is just incredibly naive and gullible.

Stoper 4 years ago: Releases updates every few months working on a dual-1080 rig.
Stoper now: Releases 1 update per year working on a monster rig equipped with a 4090 and improved software.

Hmmmm, yeah. It sure is the blazer.

The top sticks out a little and is a little angular! :ROFLMAO:

If you didn't circle it, i'd have never found what he was talking about lol. and I was starring at the picture for good 5 mins.

Someone should tell him that normal people have their hand on dick and and eyes on boobs or ass when playing his game. He is wasting a lot of time and effort.

This game is not about your dick, it's about his dick! When he can't get hard, it needs fixing! Can't you imagine the pressure not coming for almost a year?! He needs a boner desperately, so he'll fix it.

"Small" addition to my previous post, just because I find this shit to be quite hilarious.

July 25th, Stoper starts working on the "last scene"
July25thDev.png
(Is the first part already hinting at the "issues" he described in his latest devblog?)

August 10th, Stoper "getting closer" and still aiming for an August release
stoperDCAugust10th.png

August 23rd, Stoper suddenly coming up with Jess' "blazer issues", can't make it in August

August23rdDev.png
(we are already in mid-September by now, still no news..obviously)

Something I find quite interesting about the issues he's mentioned. Jess' is surely wearing her blazer at the very beginning of the day upon leaving for work, and stoper had apparently noticed the issues after having created a couple dozen renders. Now think about it...He's mentioned issues with clothing in his July 25th devblog... Does that mean he's started working on the next day sometime in July, roughly 8 months after the last update? I mean, it's only been a couple dozen renders until he's noticed these issues, and the only thing prior to the new day was a missing branch which is supposedly a small event with Jess' and Conner after her meeting with Parker. And that event was supposedly finished in February I believe. So, what exactly has stoper been doing all these months before, in-between and after? You guessed it! Nothing!

And incase he's only recently noticed the issues with Jess' blazer, that would beg for different questions. He's supposedly working on the last scene for almost 2 months now, but somehow noticed issues with Jess' clothes in roughly mid-August when he was already working on the last bits of the update? How does that make any sense? That's right, it doesn't!

The guy is barely working for more than 2, maybe 3 months per cycle, but so rarely that it's taking him up to a year at this point to release the tiniest updates. Same thing could be seen during the last development cycle, but I'm not pulling those posts up again. Anyway...

September 11th, Stoper still working on the scene, no writing with Amanda yet
stoperDCSemptember11.png

Unlikely that we'll be seeing a release this month.

That's it from me. Have a nice day!
