Not 100% sure as can't remember for certain but am sure stoper was ill earlier this year and it was quite serious, which explains the big delay in updates. If you look through the thread, you will see this. (granted I remember correctly and it was stoper who was ill, recall a dev being ill).

You are right,he was sick for some time.
This year a lot of devs have issues with their health.
The worst happen with Chatterbox,Ptolemy was or is still in hospital,Aleksey have a Covid-19,Braindrop was ill too.

I had a health issue at the beginning of the year, but it was nothing serious. Just some virus, the problem was that it knocked me down for three weeks. And I had a small issue with some new hardware recently. But none of that matters. I just work slow, that's the reason for the delays.

Glad you feel better and wasn't anything too serious.
I don't mind waiting for quality, so am good with waiting.

Stoper earns the fifth part in patreon than one dev who delivers in the same time, with similar quality and content. We can't demand him to be faster, he hasn't the resources to hire more people, as others could have done.

Hey, all.
I'm hard at work on the upcoming update for the game. Doing a decent progress, but there's still a lot of work to be done. So no concrete release date for now.
In the meantime, enjoy some Jessica. I'm going to make some more images and share them as bonus art in the next few days.

I expect whinners be complaining that the new update will be horrible.
I mean this is going to happen:
1) Too fucking short, not worth X months wait, see you next year
2) Fuck sake, not another heather lesbian scene
3) I am so sad, this game is fucking abandon

-Tommy informs Jessica about when the LARP game will be
-Jessica has to meet the guy for information on the construction company
-Jessica will (possibly) go to Mr. Parker on newsstands
-Morning run fitness with Heather (Maybe)
-fitness center with heather if you don't go out with mr parker and his friend

That's a perfectly reasonable take to have, you don't have to financially support something in order to give your reasons as to why you feel like financially supporting it is a waste of money.
I personally don't feel like supporting stoper's side projects. Currently as it is if I pledge money to his patreon I'm supporting both JOHN and a visual novel I have no interest in, not entirely sure what's going on with the apocalypse game he had, but at no point, except maybe in the beginning months, would I be pledging my money exclusively towards the development of JOHN.
I'll say that this game is, in my opinion, the best one on this site by far in terms of quality of renders and writing, but I'm not going to support a dev who according to himself, and me, works slow and is also working on projects I have no interests.

Agree. I mean why even start another project when your current project is doing great and requires a lot of your time already. Can't seem to digest this reason. Since i am not his patron and gets his stuff for free so i have no right to bitch about it and almost never did. I hope he listens to his supporters and gives his full or most time to JOHN.
