Regular updates barely have anything to do with the amount of patrons/money the dev got.
I completely disagree with this statement, and I'll also point out that you don't have any factual data which directly supports it. Or at least, you haven't shown any such data, and I haven't seen it elsewhere.
There is 3 things that really matters for people.
1.incest
2.harem or at least multiple love interests
3.male MC
JOHN doesn't hit any of the 3.
So I don't expect the game ever to get the same support as AWAM,WVM or BADIK for example.
There are a lot more than three things which matter to people. As I mentioned already, fetishes served in a game will have a large impact on the potential market share of the game. And there are a lot of fetishes which you didn't mention which will also bring in significant financial support. And there are other things, apart from fetishes and the gender of the MC, which also impact financial support. And one of those other things is how regularly the game updates. Another is how well the developer communicates with his or her supporters.
I remember here in Germany we had "lolita"-magazines which you could buy in every gas station and kiosk. The magazines literally showed child pornography.
So, the term "loli" does not really originated in Japan but emerged during the 70's sexual revolution.
Actually, the term "loli" comes from the name "Lolita", as you already mentioned. The name became popularly associated with sexual attraction to underage girls in 1955, because of a novel with the name
Lolita which was published that year. It's a novel about a middle aged man who marries a woman with a twelve year old daughter, and then he begins a sexual intrigue with the girl. The novel became popular and was made into a movie in 1962. Between the novel and the movie, the term "lolita" became a common term for sexually awakened young girls. But that happened between 1955 and 1962, before the 1970s.
