Everything there is an ABSOLUTE NORMAL update. If you sit down and try to write a script for the next 2 days, you would come up with that in the first 2 minutes. Wake up, have a normal day, setup an event, wake up, have a normal day, do the event. (might happen for multiple storylines in paralell but only happened for one)

the inconsistencies with the code are: lines of text assigned to different subjects, events firing when previous variables shouldn't, images rendered and not called. etc some are present
One thing I really enjoy about the plot of this game is how grounded and ordinary it is. No magic or sci-fi. Also it is about adults not teenagers.
Stoper is not GRMM but I think he suffers a bit from the same problem of creating too many minor characters where it becomes near impossible to include all of them while maintaining a high level of realism. I wish he would just have 3 non Conner characters for Jessica to romance. And if he gets bored or wants variety he could create mini "whatif" comics / games where Jessica interacts with other minor characters.

you are right, several years of work on animations and a year of time since the last update is a bit too little to do it right, I can expect another Tsuchinshan-ATLAS flyby, not another update and a correct one at that
ive checked both, theres no issues with my antivrus, ive played other games without any problems. i downloaded the latest update, started the game, there was no option to play te udated version

Let's be honest: animations are a waste of development time in all the VNs. No developer is skilled enough to justify animations, everyone just uses DAZ and the results are really "meh" compared to good animation done by skilled people dedicated only to that, using professional software like Blender or Maya. I would be fine with this "meh" level of animations if they were not so much time consuming for developers, as the contribution to the story is so tiny and forgettable. The problem is that there is a faction of annoying complainers when animations are missing. They don't give a fuck about quality but they want to see things moving. They miss porn videos. So we have a slow producer like Stoper that it notoriously prone to constant second thoughts, wasting time (and 1/3 of the total renderings) to make animations. Animations of a few second loops, and that's the same standard for everyone, even for stakanovist DrPinkCake and his massive PCs setup + massive budget.
But try to avoid animation, you'll get so many complains!
I think some people complain about lack of animations in books too.
If you want help, you should post some INFORMATIONS.
Operating system? 64bit I suppose? Error log? (it's in the root folder of the game). Have you checked if you downloaded the full game or it's corrupted, truncated? Have you tried to download from a different server?
