Hi, everyone.
The last 15-20 days went well. I managed to keep a good development pace. My health is still doing ups and downs, but I'm trying to adapt to it. Finished another scene from the update. But I want to add more, because for now it's not heavy on the spicy stuff. And I know you will skin me alive if after such a long wait there isn't anything to get your pulse going.
That being said, the update will not be ready this month. Realistically November seems unlikely as well, considering what's left to do. So I'm aiming for December release, at least to cap off the shitty year with something good. If I manage to speed things up I'll let you know, but for now that's the realistic projection.
Short skirts seem to be the preference among the people from the last blog post, so here's another one. Image not from the game, as usual. But next time I'll share one with a skirt from the upcoming update. I want to use it to explain some details from the work process.

What is he even saying, man, subs are getting milked. What's shameful is that he adds basically ZERO progress about visuals and instead gives an image no one asked for. Pretty sure he hasn't even started the update, with a good gig people finish a 200-300 render progress in one-two months. He'll start this month, wrap a 200-render update and release it in December.

Anybody know who's getting content? Besides Conner of course.. I think Blake is due. Wasn't sure if he'd released any info pertaining to the update or not.

He's been doing it at his own (snails)pace for several years now and it's getting progressively worse, so what exactly are you trying to say?

Man, what I mean is that there are several abandoned games and I wouldn't like this to be the next one because of the bad comments to the creator. If he says he's sick, why not believe him?

The patrons are either enjoying being milked or to dumb to care. Either way let them rest in peace and consider the game abandoned

Genuinly asking, has Stoper admitted to not be interested or inspired to work on JOHN the past few years? Stoper with the 1 update a year, L&P with adding things to slow down progress, and MadKoala for going quiet out of nowhere.

It seems obvious to me that Stoper has serious, REALLY serious problems focusing and concentrating on his work. It happens to many (including me), but with the Patreon mechanism, it's exacerbated. He's constantly dedicating himself to other, low-key projects, or projects that aren't paid much, or released for free, when working solely on JOHN could make him real money, not the pittance he earns every month.

To get a decent income? What he's currently earning with JOHN is not sufficient to live in Italy, where he moved. So he must have other sources of income unless he lives in a shelter.
He has the potential to earn enormous sums, because his ability to create images and sexy situations is undeniable. His problem is that he sabotages himself by wasting time on bullshit. Let's also add that he's probably not particularly healthy, but I think this is also due to a psychological issue (working alone is often not very helping).

Let's hope for a January release. Let's be optimistic. I just hope he's able to output good quality content and a decent amount. From his words I understand that he only made a minor and short lewd scene and it misses a lot of content.

One the one hand, I agree with you, but on the other I'd say he fully deserves all the criticism, because if he wasn't so lazy and got regular updates out, this would arguably be one of the very best games out there and potentially, he would more than likely be one of the best-supported(Financially).

The guy cut his own throat, imo.

As to your second point, if the guy is genuinely as sick as he claims, then he really should see a medical professional, because he would obviously have some potentially serious health issues.

Personally, I don't believe it for one second. This guy is the king of excuses to cover his own sheer indolence.

Even when he does communicate(which is rare), he can't even bring himself to show us something from the forthcoming update.
It's always a meaningless pin-up, or something he's messing around with, like the infamous closet(wardrobe), or the Lara Croft model.

It's such a waste of a great character in Jessica, what might have been a truly great game and also the dev's quite obvious talents.

Yeah, I supported Echoes of Deception early on then stopped because my BS detector went off and now that game is abandoned.

Sure, I don't care what an individual does with their money (to a degree), but this is ridiculous, paying money to someone by the month to someone who releases an update once a year for a project/game the guy clearly doesn't have much interest as much as he used to. Even if it is a dollar what's even the point at this rate? If I gave money to someone for supporting him and his work and he seems to care less and less about that work, why bother?

There seems to be a trend among smut devs of being perpetually sick. I have seen this same behavior before, among addicts
