Yes, I think I have something wrong with my eyes and I find it hard to read the yellow text in this game, I used Sancho's mod just to change the text to white :ROFLMAO:, now I'll have to learn how to mod.
That should be reletively simple by just editing the script.rpy

Lemme get back to you...will tell you which line to change.

Edit: When the damn rpyc decides to load up in the viewer I'll drop you a pm.

While playing, press Shift+A or just A and change the font to a different font, and you can also make an opaque background directly below the letters.

I don't remember if this changes the color from yellow to white (I can't play with the "basic" yellow Tess fonts either), but you can try it and check by running a clean version of KG without the Sancho Mod.

In fact, I think the default text is always white and that's why 95% of the games made in RenPy have it.

M. Tess was the one who changed it to give her game a personal and special touch (y).

Maviarab, if it works out, please send it to me in pm too. Who knows, maybe the basic RenPy settings activated by the A key won't be enough to completely change the text color from yellow to white. And something tells me that Tess is not going to give up that color in the next update.

PickerLewd, except not everyone has great eyesight, and it would be great if Tess took that into account. :)

Believe it is:

Line 51 in the gui.rpyc (packaged within the scripts.rpa file)
define -2 gui.text_color = '#ffff00'

Attached 2 files PL. Delete the Ep1-7 and Ep8 from in front of them so they just say gui.rpy and throw into game folder of correct episode. Hopefully should work for you.

I don't have Python installed nor have I ever used unrpyc so the best I can do is save the gui.rpyc code as a text into notepad++ then just rename the files to the correct extension. it 'should' work..in theory...but I'm no Ren'py or Python expert by any means but I 'believe' (could be very wrong), the 'game' folder acts as an override (like in old Bioware games etc) and will be read and used before any deep hidden file.

There is no rush, we are fine as long as there is no update.

As a last resort, I can ask KoGa3 what the file to modify is, in all his mods he has a font editor with text size and colour options.

Yeah, again, I'm no Python expert by any stretch of anyone's imagination lol. I'm not sure with their workload that either Joker or KoGa woud want to take on what Sancho did for this, but even if they just do a simple mod for font/colours etc, I'm sure that would help a lot of folk.

Maviarab, thank you! Added this post to my favorites. I can't check it now (I do not have all the save files ready to be transferred to the next update and to delete now SanchoMod and clean the saves I am not ready yet), but when Ep8 pt2 comes out, I will definitely use it.(y)

On a new save, no Sancho installed. Not sure how it would work with Sancho's edits...but be fine for Ep8.2 and as shown above, works fine.

Yes, they work, thank you very much .

Stan, if you use the same files, remember to save "Ep8 gui.rpy" somewhere, because with each season 2 update you will have to copy that file back into the new update folder.

P.S. #ffff00 is what the machines call the colour white, interesting.

So up to this point her only scenes are in the jail and in front of the fireplace, right?

Believe me, I'm not an Python expert either (still sounds more like a big, fat snake to me)
If still needed here a quick made settings Mod with white text color:

Now you have to play the game (as it was intended). Why, you ask? Coz Sancho Mod and his gallery will no longer exist. On the one hand, this is bad news, Sancho Mod was wonderful. But on the other hand, there is an upside to it. People will stop doing bullshit and start playing the game.
Not really, I wasn't aware about sancho, there are quite a few I play which use sancho mod, but they usually take a long time to update, so hadn't noticed.
I'm pretty sure someone will pick up the mod if sancho doesn't come back, since I don't really play the game anymore I won't be needing the walkthrough mod, just the gallery. It's also possible that the dev might include gallery option.
Story was pretty interesting till I played but the depressing story to sex scenes ratio was not for me anymore.
