I think that we can safely assume that Veronica is running the gambit as she is supposed to. And part of that is giving Olivia and Kane a fair shot and keeping them safe while they do their tasks.
And what V will do when evil faction A (Dom) takes over with Kane and Juli in Partnership of a child? Settle in Island4 ignoring what will happen at company anymore? Yes, V cares about gambit, but it's not her goal. Her goal is always island4 and she care less about who sits on gambit throne. And Olivia is flexible for any ending with DomKane and making her as sub is even more helpful lol. Veronica can go and retire in island4 thinking world is gone to shits.

Tess said all factions will be successful one or other way with our choices. So, yeah, evil Dom faction will be successful and Kane will able to manage to stop V from removing shock controls, but yeah she will escape to island4. You have to remember one thing. Alexander is not MC. Kane is MC. And he have more control in this game (with correct choices) in whatever faction you choose in Dom Paths.

A main theme of KG is femdom and sadism. Excessive nudity, explicit sex, sexual slavery, torturing and killing other humans ingame just for entertainment and fun is likely getting the game banned from Steam immediately. Cutting all these scenes out will only leave a skeleton of the original and may completely change the character of the game from a femdom SciFi to likely an average SciFi-story.
Is there an official list by Steam what kind of adult content is tolerated for games sold on Steam?
If there will ever be a Steam Release I would recommend to keep a backup of the original (uncut) Season 1 in the OP.
But, tess already told, DomKane can't do anything and is too soft to become demon. He will have just minimum choices regarding women submission and only for limited women (and that count will be even less if we exclude non-karlsson's family) even in Evil Dom path. So, I just expressing my wishes for this game, but well, I'm not the developer. It's Tess and I have problems with her, although I admire her for the great story and always will be.

It's one thing to place the story in a world where evil things happen but another thing to allow players to choose evil actions for their characters to do, especially if the options become very evil (demon). (It's not a TV show like A Game of Thrones (without player interaction) where non-player characters can murder thousands of other characters ...) I think that choice matters for Steam and evil choices will reduce the chance for KG to be on Steam.
I noticed that the tone ingame changed towards the end of E8.2, especially when dom Kane talks to his 4 pod protégés (fourtalky) :

(This might be a onetime thing to protect his pod as dom and motivate the girls?
A previous scene featured public torture and execution of slaves but mc was just a viewer of the video feed and not interacting, so overall tone is still dark and evil.)

And I'm repeating this over and over again because so many new evil dom players are imagining great evil things for evil kane, which won't happen. Yes, there will be some impact yes, but not in the true capacity. This much Tess confirmed already many times.

If Mf violence is a problem, Tess can move the scenes to the Olivia part and turn them into Ff scenes. From the player's PoV it's not much difference if Kane or Olivia punishes a female. You can even give Olivia a strap-on and she has all the options Kane has.

So… dom players won’t be able to experience Demon Kane… but they will still be able to experience evil Kane… your just basing this entire thing to what ur subjective likeness is on what actions Kane will be able to preform.. Not all dom players want to go as far as what you want in terms of actions able to be done against some of the characters… like.. evil Kane won’t be soft at all, just not to the extent of what some dom player want in terms of cruelty
I recently replayed the game from start to end of 8.2 (dom path) and noticed a general basic problem known from photography and graphic design.
The images are in horizontal 16:9 format. Main objects of interests are slender female models on high heels in a ratio of ca 1:3 (= 3:9) (horizontal:vertical) when standing.
If a character is shown in full size (head to heels), more than 80% of the image are not used and have to be filled with other characters and objects. The character model itself appears rather small.
Tess navigates this problem by often dividing the standing characters in 2-3 areas of interest and focussing on one of these areas:
- head and upper body vs lower body with legs and feet
- head vs main body vs legs and feet.
Usage of available image space is better for horizontal (lying) characters. The ratio is opposite to the above ca 3:1 (= 15:5) and so covers around half the image. However the number of potential lying scenes is usually limited.
I personally enjoy images where focus characters are completely shown head to heels the most.
Throughout the game most of the images are either partial view or a zoomed out total view where characters often are actually too small to enjoy them and the (beautiful) location itself was the main theme. The number of nice full body pinup views of characters is limited. I think there should be a balance in numbers between location images, full character images and partial views.
I know from other games that there seems to be an option to have larger vertical images in ren'py, eg 16:18 or 16:27 instead of 16:9 (or maybe just use a standard image size as vertical 9:16) . The game then shows the image scrolling top to bottom or vice versa and afterwards the player can scroll the image as he likes. Such a pinup format would be optimal to show (vertical) focus characters with their special clothing and jewelry in detail.
