Guys. Please.

This is a game.

The game needs balancing, need difficult and other rpg stuff. Yes, this is a porn game but it's still a game. If you want only the artwork there's no point in playing it, just ask anyone to extract the game and make a CG folder so you can jerk off to the art. Want something that the game doesn't offer? mod it. Want a different art? Edit it. Don't try to push your weird fetishes on everybody if you want it do it.

Are yall crazy for some preg karryn? Here take this horrendous edit i made

You need SSD.
Even 7200rpm HDD won't handle it well, an SSD makes switching rooms, rounds shifting during battle much much much faster. (it seems this game needs a lot of writing and reading during these maneuvers, 4k reading/writing speed determines the game speed, in that respect, HDD is a piece of shit...)
My 4gen cpu + 860m + 7200rpm HDD is slower than 3gen cpu + SSD.
dGPU useless, since not that much casual animation = not that much floating-point-calculation

It shouldn't really matter if you have an ssd or hdd, since the game should pretty comfortably fit into your RAM. It's not like this is a 60 GB game, its only like 500 MB.

Just gave it a try and there is no disk usage during gameplay. Only during startup which must be the game being loaded into RAM.

SSD is making that difference.
Both PCs 8GB DDR3 RAM.
You can see that CPU quite the same, 860m better than HD4000, SSD gives better performance.
The easiest way to prove this: when your Karryn walks from room to room or start a fight, disk usage (1-2%) happens in windows task manager; when your Karryn standstill, no disk usage in windows task manager.

You would be better off looking in resource manager.
As a practical matter I've seen no noticeable difference between running from a 7200RPM Constellation II and an an EVO 850.
Without testing I'd lay odds that a fair few people with bursty performance are more likely to see gains from fiddling with forced VSync than assuming a drive bottleneck. The other place to look on a low-spec/ageing system is the background crap that builds up - if you have three different launchers and Discord starting up at boot and running at all times things are going to get a bit rough.

ETA: Those who have more than one physical drive might see an improvement from running the game from one the O/S doesn't live on.

Does anyone know some magical way to speed up the game on my low end computer that should be able to play this without any issues? xD

I do have the 5870m while its an old card, I do have it overclocked. But the gpu I don't think is the issue. I looked at task manager and this game is taking a lot of my cpu% That is probably the issue.

I set the affinity on most of my running programs to cores 4-7 and set the priority on the game to high and it actually helped a little bit but not too much. I have an 1st gen i7-720qm.

Something is consuming waaaaaaay too much resources. Maybe the images have too high of a resolution? My game is constantly playing in slow motion, then it wants to fastfoward sometimes, repeat. I already set the text options to as fast as possible. Not sure what else to do.
Have you tried the chrome args inside package.json files on page 376? Mine using old i5-2430M with Radeon HD 6300 series, and the tweaks make my game run faster. Or you can try to copy my package.json file and put it inside the game folder. Also try to turn off "Sync Monitor FPS", "Animated Map Effects" and "Map Lighting Effects" in the option in-game. And set the game to high performance gpu.

I had same problem.
Try to change options which answer for FPS and monitor sync in game options.
That must help.
This setting actually made things 10x worse lol. took 8 seconds to get by 1 of those messages at the top left. I went back and disable this.

So some more information. I have my windows res at 720p right now, and simply by keeping the game here, where I have to click to proceed, its at 31% cpu. Its also using some disk load here. Nothing is happening and its at 30%?

On the next screen here below is where I select my action. Its at 6% and 5%

I don't know how this stuff works, but perhaps there is some need to fix the optimization within rpg maker? or something. These are still images

I'll give it a try

Update - This worked! Running at 1080p with no issues so far. I haven't tested combat yet but I'm about to after reception. Thanks a bunch. You are a God among men lol

Does the game have a proper fullscreen setting, or a proper override? I've tried adding the fullscreen flag to package.json, which killed the game entirely. The standard alt + enter and f11 methods don't work either.

Half the time her own guards and employees are trying to assault her as well; who the hell is going to join her party?
Yes, good.
The Orc enemy type is specifically set up as a rear-line buff-producing-machine. You wouldn't even need to change the code to add a whole additional combatant on Karryn's side, you could model his presence as a set of passive buffs that he grants by standing behind you, or by adding a set of temporary skills to Karryn that consist of asking him to do a thing this turn.
And in exchange, maybe any time Karryn is knocked down or out of stamina there's a chance he gets overcome with lust and tries to fuck her. Or replace the standard defeat scene for the floor with him shoving the other prisoners out of the way and carrying her back to his own cell for some fun.

It's very difficult to do a pure run, but not impossible. You should focus on Money and Strength ability increasing Edicts. I started with Ambitious Experimenter, on Secretary mod with no cheats. It cost roughly 2000 dollars to unlock all the Published Record under Personal which will net you an extra 265 dollar per day. Also, you want to unlock Prison Guards for Office and Self Paid Equipment to lower your expenses as soon as possible.

Personally, I prefer a melee build at first because it is so much easier to unlock and you can go back to your weapon later. Once you unlock Strength level 4 you can buy all the unarmed combat skills and which makes it very hard for the enemies to take advantage of you when you can one shot them. Just keep combat limited to 3 or 4 encounters and fix your clothes often.
On secretary and warden modes it's certainly possible, though the final (so far) battle with the lizard alpha is super hard and might require save-scumming to come out as a virgin. I don't actually recommend doing all the Publish Record edicts if you're trying to be pure anymore, because the increased income is fairly small and the data you give them makes Nerds more dangerous now that they can debuff you by telling everybody else your weaknesses. Make up the difference in funds by charging admission for visitors at reception if you're not worried about making people angry, or by (very carefully) working as a waitress if you're okay with a little more effort.

Maintaining purity in Prisoner mode might be impossible. Certainly unlikely on a first playthrough, and I'm not sure which combination of titles you should collect before making the attempt in NG+.

I fully understand that the main focus of the game is to send Karryn down the path of depravity. However, is that inevitable and the only recourse, or are there any future plans where this is not the case? A (fully functional) route or two where everyone ends up acknowledging that Karryn is the undisputed, all-knowing, all-powerful, master-of-the-fuckin'-universe that can complete any assignment unscathed (including being the warden of a prison of ill-repute).
Your main problem here is that the game is still in Alpha. You can't get to your big dramatic pure badass ending, because there is no ending, and being 60% of the way to a pure badass ending looks exactly the same as being about to fall into depravity at the 70% mark and finishing up as a whore.

However, I have no doubt that one of the possible endings to the game will require you to maintain Karryn's purity throughout. Every time she receives a top level gift from the Emperor she reinforces the notion that loss is not inevitable, that it will be difficult but she fully intends to resist temptation and guard her chastity and then when she's done here they're going to get married. Assuming that the Emperor doesn't turn out to be the true final boss or some nasty twist like that.

Although that line of thinking does make me wonder if there's a super corrupt ending in which instead of (or after) doing battle with the criminal mastermind down below, the Emperor sees what you have become and tries to stop the monster he has created, only for you to come at him with all the dirty tricks you've learned in the prison and turn him into your sex slave...

Nerds can do the debuff anyway on Level 3, even if you haven't published anything, so even on a pure run, you should still publish your records, since it is a lot of extra cash. And so far it isn't impossible to do a pure run on Prisoner Mode and my guess is, it will stay that way because it would be bad game design if the only way to beat Prisoner Mode would be on NG+.
