Is it possible to beat the game on hard? without losing virginity

I've finished (and posted - mostly out of spite) 5/6 title-locked challenges on Prisoner as a virgin in the span of 11 days since finding the game, so yes, it is possible.

I tried and it is very unfair, it is poorly balanced

I have also gone on record several times - at length - to criticize the purposefully vague mechanics and poor game design choices. Devs even take the time to make fun of the player, saying that they are expected to repeatedly fail and game over, but not before realizing that you are an inescapable downward spiral, several hours in. Which goes way beyond any average metric of player antagonism.

Balance is not poor - its an intentional "fuck you" directed at the players with surgical precision. Thats why their steam description is so defensive about it.

And that is the *exact* sort of poor game design choice i refer to. A metric for good game design is the ability to finish it successfully on your first attempt, with no prior knowledge, if you pay attention, manage your risks and make use of the various mechanics, tools and information made available to you. Thats the antithesis of expecting - and all but requiring - the players to die over and over, until they accrue a critical amount of bonuses. Which is also mostly because you've purposefully made it so that 80% of the game mechanics information is inaccessible outside of checking the game code.

The clearly intended way of having the player repeatedly game over is not novel - it is a cheap way of artificially inflating the perceived learning curve required to play the game, and all it serves to do is siphon far more time than is remotely reasonable. Which is why the majority of posts here opt to ask for cheats instead.

You can beat the game on Prisoner Mode on a new save as a Virgin. No need for NG+.

The question was about if the game is beatable on hard. Prisoner Mode is not meant to be played first. It is even saying so in it's discription. So half of what you are saying here, is actually irrelevant in this case. And don't tell me now, that beating the game on normal is impossible on the first try.

Not really. I split my quotes so that is clear im addressing shimk's second remark separately from what we originally responded to. We *are* in a thread discussing the game after all

Oh, its entirely possible. Far more so, if you havent set any extra conditions for yourself. But point is the devs did not intend for players to be able to do that. And many still wont.
There's a certain undeniable sense of gleeful malice in the way game is set up.

Go to Max Desire and put Max Pussy/Anal Desire to 0 or lower (if you got those nasty desire rising passives XD)

You can bring your saves to the new version... There's literally nothing stopping you from copying the saves from version 1.0.4 to 1.0.6... Many games let you do this, with only occasional times where old saves break (mostly when there's major changes).

If you don't know where your saves are located, they are in the www/save folder in rpgmakerMV (by default, some games can save to other locations but KP isn't one of them and those are rare.)

Also can someone tell me if I need to decode this cause I had no clue what is this supposed to be?

NW.exe is the executable you run to start the game, it's not a source file, don't mess with it.

The letters on the end of versions just designate that it's a minor update, usually just fixing bugs or typos. It this case, they were adding in creature specific cut ins.

You can't decode an exe. You can decompile it to get some of the source code, though not all, but you'd need to know what language it's being compiled in. The more important point to say though, it'd be pointless for you to go through and decompile it so don't try.

If you're opening an exe in notepad and then taking a pic of it with your phone you probably shouldn't be messing around with it...

i suppose he is trying to edit an exe exactly because he still don't know much of what he is doing.

I emphasized precisely this fact and than how it's expected to be achieved.
You can see as a cheap way to prolong the game, but honestly, i like some punishment when i'm on hard mode.
I was free to chose so find new titles, or directly challenge it.
