Enemies being level capped as well doesn't really matter, that's traditionally how level caps have always worked. Enemies either scale with you, or they keep you from being able to become much stronger than them. Its meant to keep the challenge level up by preventing the player from becoming much stronger than the average enemy, personally I've always been against such lazy balancing and forced difficulty. And the problem with the strip club is that its not even available until the last stretch of the game, and it requires you to be going all out slut mode. Now in these types of games being a slut should always have certain advantages, so I wouldn't want the receptionist job to be just as lucrative, but I do believe non slut bar/receptionist job are way too much of a slog. As much as I like this game, the tedium added by things like level caps don't really serve to make it any better.

You can do strip club without being all out slut. Not good for purity run but virgin run is doable. My current run im doing just the first part of the strip club without stripping or private dance. It still gives around 800 gold per show, which increases if you get the Full Alchemist Condom title. You will gain passives though, but you can keep your virginity intact. Its an interesting challenge. I love the strip club, its my favorite part of the game.

Any Hentai game you go in with the mindset of just trying to complete it is not the way to experience them. Hentai games are at their best if you in for the journey and immerse yourself in the environment. You play them for the erotic rush, thats what they here for. Most if not all Hentai games fail miserably as just a game to beat.
However, Karryn's Prison comes close to being a good game also. Your first run, depending on difficulty level will probably be a not too grindy epic fail. On subsequent runs, you will use Titles form previous playthroughs, but it still doesnt make it a cake walk. The game level caps you so you will never steamroll enemies. In fact, a speed run might be the only way to beat the game if you going for a Purity run.
I wish hentai games, including Karryn's Prison, gave up on the idea of needing to achieve an ending to "win" and instead accept what they really are. A virtual erotic escape from real life drudgery.
The trick is understanding that trying not to be a slut in this game is absolute suffering.
I did a full playthrough on normal difficulty for the Steam achievements and didn't have many problems. I did make backups of my save files so I wouldn't lose 10 hours of progress on a miss click.
