Basic problem solving skills are a MUST online and in the real world man. If you can't use them, you're screwed. More tools then ever are at our disposal in society and on the internet. There's guides everywhere, video and articles on how to do things. In this case internet basics 101 and computer basics 101. Yes those are the names for them, I'm not being a smart aleck. All of this stuff goes under utilized, some people act helpless when they're not, and some are just misinformed and don't know about this stuff. I'm sure you could find a forum basics 101, I haven't tried looking for that one yet.

While you are 100% right that it's internet basics 101 and computer basics 101, you have to keep in mind that the younger generation have no idea about any of this, because they've grown up in a mobile device focused, app based world. There's young adults out there who have only ever used phones or tablets, and never touched an actual computer in their lives, and that number is only going to grow as the years go on. Siri or Alexa does their googling for them, they don't do it themselves. It's been years of people going into computer courses in colleges and universities and having no idea what a file directory is. On top of that, forums as a whole is really ancient tech, nobody uses them anymore except for very niche corners like ours. Closest thing resembling a forum nowadays is reddit, which none of the kids use cause it's for old people. Most things nowadays are just on discord servers, which is absolutely the WRONG platform for a forum, but devs and game communities insist on using them anyways because it's newer. In a similar vein, I, for example, have no fucking clue about swipe shortcuts for shit on my phone, because I'm a dinosaur who is used to the computer days before mobile devices, but I'm sure the kids know all that shit and would scoff at my lack of knowledge.

I am still mortified by the fact that Discord has taken over so much of data archiving, given it's such a walled garden of information. God forbid people have a website for uploading their code, or say mods for games such this one here, that can be easily found using a search engine.

I think you're failing to see the point, the solution's given almost every page, people still ask. I've seen the 1st page have the solution on a different game, people still ask. Not much you can do to stop people from being lazy.

Enabling the behavior is definitely not the way to go about it though, because that will definitely cause people to see the handout given and then repeat the same behavior. Hence why we're trying to get people to do some super basic problem solving.

We don't need luck. Only way to fix this is not courses either. Stricter forum rules would solve this issue instantly. I know some other piracy forum warn and ban people for asking same question others have already answered. This thread has the answer linked on first page. There are no excuses.

But now that I've finally beaten it...the game booted me into the New Game+ Screen, and Autosaved me there, effectively locking me out of my finished game.
Is there a way to go back to right before you fight the Captain?

+ in addition, I've installed a Happy End save file done by someone else as a compromise, but it seems you can't initiate a normal battle with Monsters again in the post-game, specifically with things like Slimes.

Does the CCMod have a solution to this? I've seen mentions of CC allowing you to re-fight bosses, but I couldn't find much mention of rebattling enemies.

Go down to Level 5 there is a free battle mode in which you can choose to fight against what you want

Have to agree on this. I was born in the transition period, so I'm about half-half. I grew up on the internet during a period where you still had to figure stuff out on your own if you wanted to do anything, but never got the chance to interact with forum stuff as forums were only used in my very young years.

For someone who only started using forums less than a couple years ago. It is unnecessarily difficult to get used to and understand (Though I haven't really used forums that much overall so I've never had the chance to learn). So I'm not surprised that stuff like repeated same questioning happens. But the people asking these samey questions obviously don't want something badly enough to put in the modicum of effort to get it when they want it.

But forum navigation is way too different from how things are done nowadays, there isn't any overlap in what exists today. So skills outside of forums don't transfer in any way. And it will get worse, because forums are outdated. And the elitism of forum users is pretty cringey from an outside perspective.

Come on! In every Page we put "close Steam or install Steam Dummy Loader" but people still asking the same question ... It's so tired. I choose the funny way with the memes.

It's so easy finding the answer, just only reading the last 3 pages anybody can find that answer.

While forums are outdated, I haven't seen anything new come along that serves the same basic function, but better. IE, leaving a message or question, then coming back and having all the replies to it in a nice, clean, simple interface. I mean, social media can do it, but in a worse way since they tend to adjust the order of replies and split things off. Discord can do it now with threads, but most servers don't use that and for those that do, they tend to not be organized well. Ironically, this game's official discord server is one of the best I've seen for using threads in it.

Forums are bad if you're looking for a very quick, immediate answer to a question, sure. But if you're looking for a discussion, or if you're just posting a question say, while on the toilet getting ready for work, only needing the answer when you get back from work, forums are vastly superior than 99% of discord servers are.

At the end of the day, various helpful tools and tips are there in search engines (google, duck duck go, yandex, etc.) alone, to help you as a person grow aka learn. Treat it like you're asking a person a question and you will get so much help, it's not even funny. I can't help that some people don't want to help themselves and learn things. Things which you can use throughout your entire life btw, aka insanely useful. (not just internet stuff)

Aka it's up to people to learn this stuff, through those search engines.

A lot of technology stuff looks intimidating at first to beginners, it's not. You find that out really quickly when you start to learn the basics.
