Okay you make some really good point here, but they seem kind of subjective.
-You could have access to every stat, but without knowing the formula it uses it will never be accurate. It might be attack-defense, it might also be attack-defense+/-30%. I like heroes 3 and after seeing the damage formula there I decide close enough information is good enough. Heroes 3 works however, because the battle still is predicable. I am interested, do you want there to be a visible defense stat for enemies or numbers for their hp?
-Not knowing your damage before engaging is annoying, personally I believe it is to make resistances less obvious, but it also adds tension when you have to revaluate you strategy mid battle because your predictions were wrong. I still believe there must be a middle ground somewhere.
-Agree with you on turn order, don't understand why don't have it toggleable at least, could be to minimize UI elements in a porn game.
-I did not know about enemies lvl raising from riots, but I knew it happened over time and from edicts. Is that important though? I guess you could make a low Riot game, but that would probably be slower as well. Here is where vague edicts really annoys me btw.
-I am unsure, what do say about experimentation. On one hand the game is designed to starve you for resources, to make sure the game is hard. On the other hand you are entirely correct, it is insanely hard to experiment without losing because of it. But that makes sense if the dev. wanted you to fail multiple times. Also I think slut runs would be too powerful and easy without the negative passives.
I hope you like reading this essay as much as I enjoyed writing it. (and that my dislexia wasn't too bad)
My post that you quoted seems to be cut in half by mods for some reason(too long?).
- I don't know how heroes 3 handles this(I've never played it) but I'd even prefer a similar system like in Octopath Traveler. In that game at first I neither know or see stats but after enough battles not only I as the player get more acquainted with the enemies and their behaviour but also game starts to show their stats and weaknesses to kind of simulate my character's increased knowledge about enemies. Honestly at this point: anything is better than nothing, imho.
- I don't know what a middle ground would be, perhaps something like what I wrote above this line? All I know is this is the only turn-based game I've played that keeps hiding useful information from me, for some reason. I've played harder and even more grindy games than this one but none of them ever kept such basic things secret.
- I'd very much prefer to see a turn order shown somewhere on the enemy portraits, prefably where their hp bar is shown. That way it won't even take up space. I honestly don't understand why this is missing in the game. I'd even add hp numbers to their hp bars if I knew how to make mods, hmm maybe I should learn it.
- Knowing riots increase enemy levels could be useful; I could potentionally lose the game if I screwed around too much.
- This is subjective but forcing multiple runs to complete the game(excluding roguelike/roguelite genre) causes me to lose interest in it very quickly. It doesn't matter why devs do it. Reason could be anything; to see a true ending or do it as a gameplay mechanic, similar to KP. A similar situation happened in Nier Automata and I almost fell asleep when playing it a second time and decided to watch other endings on YouTube instead. Also the reason I said "excluding roguelike/roguelite genre" is because they can be technically completed without any prior knowledge, just need good reflexes. KP can be technically completed in first run too, but I find the probabilities of that happening very low, since that person need to know a lot about it to not fail in the first run(which that person won't know because it is first run) and having good reflexes won't help.

Don't worry about dislexia, it was enjoyable. If it helps I have many writing errors on my posts and I stopped caring about it a long time ago. Sometimes I edit my posts when I see errors but that's about it. Afterall if I don't speak my main language perfectly why should I care about speaking a foreign language perfectly?
