In my opinion it become NTR only at the "happy ending", because until that point, it only was untold feelings and wanting to be with each other (and the emperor only realised it when karryn was gone for a while), so since they weren't together, it's not cheating.
But in the ending, they do get together and get married, but she does cheat on him now, so unless she manage to corrupt the emperor off-screen after the ending, it is NTR.
Again, just my opinion, i'm not an NTR expert ;)

NTR is a very nuanced genre that's hard to specify. Excluding Netori, there's a subgenre of NTR called BSS where a male MC's love interest (not a lover) is being taken (not stolen) by another guy. BSS technically isn't NTR, but depending on the context, it can very well give you the same dark sensation as NTR, so it's classified as a subgenre that belongs to the NTR umbrella.

What most people fail to see is that NTR isn't really about technicality, it's about emotion. Let's take for example some popular anime mainstream, like To Love-Ru. The main guy Rito isn't going out with anyone, he's just having 'accidental' sexy moments with all of the main girls. But let's say that the other guys like his male friend or that fat principal had the same 'accidental' sexy moments with those same girls, how would the reader/watcher feel? I think we all know why another guy other than the MC is rarely made to sexually touch the main girls in those harem.

In the case of Karryn, since we're playing as a female protagonist, the NTR feeling isn't that prevalent, especially since the other guy Karryn is interested into is barely there for us to care. It's technically NTR at some parts, but not really NTR as far as how much jealous emotion it provokes from the player.

Real. There was no mutual relationship between Karryn and the Emperor in the beginning of the game (but Karryn kept it to herself). It was after Karryn subjugated Level 3-4 that the Emperor showed mutual affection. Overall, it's the Emperor's fault for being late in admitting his love (and who sends a busty woman as a warden in the most poorly managed prison in the entire empire?).

Any tips for Prisoner Mode?
I tried to complete the game in that mode, but on my first try, I couldn't beat the last level. There were a lot of enemy waves, and Karryn suddenly started doing little damage with her attacks, and it was all downhill from there.
I also tried farming money to fully upgrade skills (I maxed out two), but it wasn't enough. I assume it's because I had some sexual passives.
also, anyone know if the frequency of enemy dialogue (which can be changed in the settings) in any way affects or makes it easier to obtain any passive?

If you are doing the combat route, you need to keep your desires low cause past certain point you start taking penalties to combat abilities. Notably cock desire that reduces dmg to enemy.

talk and sight resist reduce the amount of desire you gained from enemies lewd action. So hear no evil and see no evil is pretty much required for combat builds.

the thing is, at the very end if you are relatively pure you just suppress desires like 30 turns in a row and call it a day as others ejaculate on the floor... i m not sure if thats cheating, but thats unironically my 1st ever run with happy ending

i've been using English since i wasn't even aware you could change it and it automatically defaulted to it so that's what i stuck with for the majority of my first playthrough. I have to say though the English dubbing sucks kind of bad, if it wasn't for the well drawn art it would be hard for me to get turned on. It really does just sound like terrible porn star acting, I'll have to try it in japanese later which im sure will be a much better experience.

I tried adding all the mods that were shared a few pages back, but when I open the game it says certain png's are missing? Is there a guide somewhere to doing this? I tried with vortex but that didn't work either. Is there something I did wrong?

does anyone else have the problem where you get stuck on the victory screen for a while and have to do a bunch of weird clicks to get it to work and do you know how to fix it?

It's possible, but quite challenging. The sex build relies on sex skills, which require unlocking numerous passives, many of which are negative. You have to carefully balance unlocking enough passives to gain the sex skills while avoiding too many negatives that make her difficult to control. Even when you find that balance, maintaining control won't last long. You'll need to finish the game quickly before the accumulation of negative passives causes her to spiral out of control.
