I hope it comes out decent enough, but BF seems to draw larger crowds. (Though that could be my speculation here.)

Case in point compare this with Melty Quest. Melty was ok, but holding it up to KP then MQ has no leg to stand on.

If i were a developer, i'd pretty much stop giving a fuck about what people tell me, fandoms are just the most cancerous thing this planet hold on it. (For example, this thread in most parts.)
There's no point in trying to please everyone so just make a product that you're pleased with, it'll get the audience it'll get no matter what, if it's 10, 100, 1000 etc. people then so be it, trying to please everyone is a sisyphean task.

The best part about making the game you want to make: surrounding yourself with a fandom you actually enjoy. One of the worst parts of making for others or being a leader of a public project is putting your whole self away and letting others drive your decisions, only for you to hate the work you made and hate the people you're surrounded by. Be who you want to see in the world, make what you want to see in the world.

Do you mean the Voice Pack DLC? The gym was just extra content included in it.

You don't know that, steam reviews are not a measuring sistem, only the developer knows, I don't know if it was good or bad, but if it were that bad the reviews would be extremely negative I reiterate, I don't defend the DLC either, I think it's something normal and simple porn for a porn game, if you like it, you buy it and if you don't skip it, it doesn't make any difference whether you have it or not.

Like the one with pubic hair and huge tits, there are people who don't like pubic hair or unnecessarily huge tits, so buy it or skip it.

The hardest way to hurt a developer is to not buy their shit because your complaints aren't going to go anywhere.

I think it was mentioned in the now deleted part of the Gym Feedback section of his Discord that Rem was disappointed in the sale numbers. But maybe it was just someone pulling that out of their ass so you are right, I don't know the sale numbers.

This is not comparable to the other DLCs. The Gym DLC they did need to pay the Voice actresses again, so there is much more invested behind that one. And pretty sure Rem hurt himself enough with the Gym DLC saga by promising to improve it after all the negative feedback he got and then half a year later was just nah fuck it, it is good as it is and just releases it. But I will leave it at that, since this is pointless to discuss anyway

Pretty sure DLsite saids otherwise with game listing or the person he was working with is.

Sachinama probably was the one that did MQ, but he also worked with Rem on KP, and again, comparing them there is an obvious difference between two games.

Discord communities make everything worse. However yes 24/7 player input is bad for development. Testing groups can help but listioning to a huge group of mouth breathers non-stop will never be beneficial for anyone.

If you may stop throwing your own feces at each other like monkeys for one second, I've got a question.
I've played the games several times, in prisoner mode included, but there is something that still escapes me.
When you are playing whore mode, what is the threshold that makes a second ward near your office appear when you are in exhibitionist mode?
Cause I've played today from 0 with the newest version and in exhibitionist mode there was just 1 guard near the office, which surprised me. But now there is 2 and Idk why. Is it an edict? Is a slut level threshold? Idk.

Things that should affect that is edicts that you take about guards and employing prisoners and guard aggression value which is changed with edicts and fighting/fucking guards. In this case I think its guard aggression over 30 or smth. I looked at the code but didn't find that.

It's said that bad publicity is still publicity for a reason.
If there is criticism, means that there is interest for the thing to improve (when done in good faith)
where there is not criticism, there is no interest.
but still not everyone can agree on the same concept of improvement.

Positive value is Rem actually being on the high ground, complete the game developmetn cycle and any additional contents are dlc,not putting false promises (not too many of them at least) edging the patrons. Looking at the majority of porn games been in development for a full decade an bugfix and 2 min of gameplay update with recycled contents every full moon.

That's not a strawman. If you read the last few pages you can see they are saying exactly that.

They blame "toxic fandom"(the people who have no control over the game other than merely providing feedback) for every shitty idea developer had(gym dlc in this case) instead of the developer(the people who made the game).

Fact is, the better the game, the worse the community.
And there is no way the dev was ready for this kind of popularity nor both the positive and negative feedback resulting from it.
Not everyone handles pressure well, that's normal. And if anything, I applaud him for still updating the game no matter the pace or what he updates.
And the problem with communities is, especially nowadays, is the toxicity, and on the internet, people with very narrow mindsets love to criticize when something doesn't go their way. The 'me me me' behavior.

I've learned in the last couple of years handling those type of people is to either make them rage if I want to (nothing beats reading a post from a frustrated basement troll going crazy like a gay person in a lesbian orgy) or... simply just ignore (they hate that so much, which is a win in itself).
