Seconding this. Game window opens for about five seconds, and then closes itself. A couple times have caught a small error(?) window opening and closing instantly after.
Tried running in compatibility mode, no luck.

This is my favorite game! Here's my save with full gallery. Slot 1 is right after final boss, you can choose to view any of the 5 endings and read all diary pages. The endings aren't viewable in the gallery so I needed a save for that.
