Have you tried downloading the new one and just replacing the contents with the mod?
It might still work.

However, obviously, even if it works it'll still downgrade your game to that version.

Careful, if it breaks something they will come back asking you to fix it.

Replacing the contents on the new version just gives you an endless loading screen in the game and title is full black
Sooo, the mod doesn't work on it

If you get a black screen, make sure to replace the encryption key from the translation in system.json with the encryption key from the system.json file you are about to replace.
