According to the dev's latest patreon post, looks like it will be abandoned:
"KIS is frozen: Well, it's been 3 days since the release of KIS and I think we can conclude that the project will not be successful."
A pity, I enjoyed the game mechanics and graphics and was looking forward for next releases.
There's a v0.2.0 that is still on Patreon Release only, so might reach public release in the next couple of days.

No changelog but dev said this at the time of posting. "To unlock the new location, talk about alcohol with Himeno in the brothel. I hope you enjoy the new characters!"
