Yeah, it would definitely be interesting — that was my original idea. But Patreon’s policies kinda limit some cool stuff, lol.
well uhh.. it could be possible to have some patch, off patreon of course
and to cut off snitches from the start, no no i'm talking about a erm. bugfix? quickfix? extrar content?
but well that's not really something to include this early in development, i guess.

it's just annoying, generally, to see human anatomy in the majority of lewd games that are said to be about interaction with or between non human beings. those 'beasts' or 'monsters' mostly girls with whatsit, cat ears attached, or dudes with a tail and a face remotely resembling a german sheperd, or such, and that's then called beast. orcs goblins horses dogs pigs hell even insects or fishes all with human dicks.
some basics should be there. like, bird types or reptiles are all buttfuggs, rite. they don't have mammal sex parts at all.
dayum here i go ranting :D nvm me i digress.

I think the game is still in a pretty early stage of development... Let's see how the story grows and takes shape.
I imagine most games are hosted on platforms with strict rules about non-human characters, which forces devs to hold back their creativity.:cautious:
I don’t know much about SubscribeStar, but I’ve heard it gives creators more freedom.

Honestly, I’ve only used Patreon so far, not SubscribeStar.
But I’ve heard they give creators more creative freedom — though I guess at some point they might also start tightening their policies.
not sure about that freedom.. they're said to look the other way as long as money flows in and it's not too obvious. then again they did slam the lid on some projects without much of a difference to others about the same stuff, and so on. that was one reason i left patreon time ago.

Version 0.1.2 ( Through My Eyes ) is now available on Patreon!! :p:p:p
:D

before anyone starts crying for heroes mere minutes after this announcement, dare you not. give it a week or so.
developers tend to require daily things like hm, food, a place to be, and all that.. oh and electricititties for a computer. that all costs money.
have some decency folks.

Yeah… unfortunately, things have gotten even more heated these past few days.
They already went after the game on Steam and Itch.io, so I guess it’s only a matter of time before they come for Patreon too…

It’s true ;)!! — I’ll update this thread next week with the new version. I’m already working on update 0.1.3.

Hey!!! Cool! Thanks a lot for the feedback — it’s really encouraging to read your thoughts. And thanks for giving KillPig a try!

Honestly, I hadn’t thought about implementing penis size as a mechanic, but it’s a pretty interesting and uncommon idea. The curse isn’t really a curse deep down, since with his new appearance, the protagonist changes his attitude (not his personality) and ends up being luckier with girls, even if he looks weird.
Maybe as part of the curse, he could control the size of his penis depending on the situation… (I could add a menu where the player chooses).
It’s a tempting idea. Though maybe the simpler way to go — like you mentioned — would be for the game master to give some hints about each girl’s preferences. If the player guesses wrong, they lose karma points.

Also, good point about the choices (1, 2, 3) feeling too similar — I’ll tweak those for the 0.1.2 update so they stand out more.

I think my worst fear is happening with the animation speed. I’m using about 30 frames per animation at 8 FPS. I might have to lower the frame rate... but that would mess up the quality. If anyone has more thoughts or suggestions, I’d really appreciate it.

And yep, I’m doing all the art myself. I know that fully AI-generated art usually looks cleaner, but for now I prefer the handmade style — not sure what’ll happen in the future though.

Thanks again for your time and feedback!!
Was just checking things out and honestly haven't played yet, but for your animation issues, you might want to look into ffmpeg if you haven't already. You can use it to minterpolate animations among other things and basically fill in extra frames based on how many real frames you have and what framerate you are aiming for. It can really smooth things out once you tweak all the settings (the hard part is finding a balance of quality to animation size in my experience) and testing the results to make sure it didn't create any unwanted artifacts.

Can you give me more details about ffmpeg? Do you mean making a video? That could be a good option. I’m using a lot of frames in the animations, and in the long run that’s gonna have a cost in memory and game size, so your idea sounds interesting.

Nearly all the backgrounds seem to be made with AI, and I'm not convinced the characters aren't either.
I use AI as a base for my designs, then I tweak, edit, vectorize them the way I like, and finally paint them (hopefully they look good, ‘cause it’s a lot of work — I guess I’ll get better). Sometimes I just can’t get the drawings I want, so I have to do them manually, no other choice. Not sure what the right tag would be for this case.

FFMPEG uses command line (command prompt + code) and it can require some setup, but there is a lot of good info on how to do it, and AI can help you with the commands you need, but you can use it for a lot of different purposes, generating more frames based on what you have so you can speed up the fps of your animations, speeding up or slowing down video if you go that way (webm's best for size, but if you go video you have to figure out more details about how high quality you want the videos, bitrate and whatnot) and a ton of other uses. It might be a bit much for what you are going for, but something you could look at.
