Thanks Cookiedraggy ! I look forward to your future updates, your streams are promising since you do stuff by hand for the backgrounds. 
Does anyone have a save with the new content? I was never that good at these types of games and this one seems to be punishingly difficult.

It's as simple as playing the old Metroid. Beat the crap out of anyone in your way, dodge boss attacks, find health canisters and upgrades for easier playthroughs and to reveal secret passages for more health canisters
p.s. - Pretty sure there's no way to share saves of this game
Never played a Metroid game. I generally avoided these games growing up. I'll try to get good
If you read through the posts, (I am not sure how far back) someone has shared the cheat engine for this game that makes you invincible. You can play around and make mistakes without dying. That should help you to get good without too much frustration. The only setback is if you fall into a place that should kill you, you have to reset the game and start again from your last save point.

p.p.s - The game is actually easy enough that it takes about half an hour to just collect all upgrades and half an hour to explore the rest of the map (as evident in the save)
Update: Someone pointed out it didn't work, so could be something missing. Updated the zip file with the right things

Just something funny I found, if you jump off the platforms in the kobold village and fall down out of bounds, it actually reveals the map and the word “Jungle” lol

I see many posts got deleted. Looks like everything is OT if someones feelings are hurt no matter how much crap someone writes.^^ Oh well, easy life for mods ftw.
I'm finding I can't run and jump left, but I can to the right. I can't continue because I have to jump from a ladder to the left, but it won't work, though has no problem jumping off to the right.
