I was not expecting another update so soon but my question stands: I feel like the game keeps getting more and more difficult without giving me enough power boosts. Am I missing something? I can't get anywhere close to beating Laira at home

It can be tough if you don't do side content. One of the big ones is the shop quest - items enable different decks.
There are some spikes in difficulty, including side content. But they all should be more than manageable if you do other content first.

There is either an issue in the game or the information is wrong. Found the the paper with the first code, went to the new location, talked to Liv and got alphabet hint, went back to machine and there is no new note (flux).
EDIT: Not to mention that the quest tracker says I need to talk to Kia in the Mansion but other that the initial talk about being a Double Agent there isnt any other dialogue option.

For the alphabetic hint, you are supposed to use the first note again

is it possiable to get mias card in this version when ii try to procced with it says i need to get stronger but she wont train me anymore but good game
I'm not entirely clear on if the influence of the relic crosses the border into "mind control", but I feel like the tag might be appropriate?
It's hard to tell, but it's implied that the reason most of the girls aren't taking effective action against you is partially because of the relic? (It's definitely a corruptive influence, but the mind control effects are mostly "taking noncon sex much more lightly than they should" and "not letting it significantly affect how they interact with you day-to-day". I mean, it could be a cultural thing, but...) I mean, it's pretty clear subtext that it's affecting their memories/reactions.
Generally enjoyed this game. It was easy to miss some important power progression if you don't focus on progressing girls, but it still didn't feel terrible - and if I hadn't made that mistake, it would've felt even less rough.
