The concept was a bit tricky right from the start. None of the original team knew how to work with renpy and from the first patch there was the sub/dom and the3 captains+solo routes. 6 possible variations for a lot of things. NN gave us a bit of freedom to choose the order of certain things, but the game was still quite linear.
The way Hreinn started it, they needed to put in at least 6 times the work to give us the same amount of content as in NN.

This kind of shift in scales needs expert planning and a team with steady output and Hreinn has neither.

Despite all the negative things i write here, i still don't think that this game is unsalvageable or that everything is over, but once Nomo gets better, they need to get back to their their strengths and do what they are good at.

On the point of negativity, there is quite a bit around, but I would argue this is because NN was really good. Because KoD already has a bunch of great content in it. If it was all rubbish to begin with, then nobody would care if the game died.

Read the walkthrough carefully. You have to do the quest in a limited number of days otherwise you fail.

At this point, I really wish Nomo just leaves Hreinn, rejoins Sierra, and they go back to making games together. (assuming there were no like, internal issues that lead to them parting ways)
I believe Sierra mentioned in her game's server that she mostly left because she didn't like how rape-y the game got and wanted to remove the sub/non-con aspects and make the game entirely about dom route and a battlesim. Nomo didn't feel the fans of NN would like that direction, so they just broke things off in the end.

I can confirm that is part of the reason, there was something else more personal going between Sierra and Nomo too, Sierra refused to comment about it though. Her community made it clear that the rape-y part of the sex scenes was part of it though.

Damn, that's a real shame. I definitely think the sub writing could have been changed a bit to make it less rape-y, but still appealing. I mean assuming the stuff already in NN wasn't already too far, Nomo really fucked up considering that's a lot to work with.

That being said, we since we don't know what the other issues were, it might not have even been the biggest reason why she left. Hopefully it's something that can mended though and they do work together again at some point.

From what Sierra had said about future collaborations, it's pretty unlikely that she will be involved with Nome or anyone else for that matter.

Eh, I get that rape fantasies are definitely not for everyone but in the context of both NN (even if it was just monster rape) or KOD I think they kinda work. i mean if you can suspend your disbelief for orcs, cat girls, magic, and elastic assholes fuck to bits taht don't bleed or shit everywhere on any given day taht Ranakh shows up (or anyone one of a hundred mfers) Why not belief that some of these apprently porn star level champions take it against their will and after a day or two get back on the .... orc? But I wouldn't believe that THAT is the biggest reason. I think lots of people (its been said for YEARS now) seem to believe there was a major difference in work ethic. But I'd be willing to believe it may not have been one BIG thing and maybe several little things.

I do think the best parts of the game (I always talk about how my first run was a solo and dominant Sabia) was all those options of play. I think if people knew MORE options justmeant the death of the game, they'd have taken less. WTF was the Dajrab route even gonna be?

Well, there's a big difference between having a rape fantasy in a game you're playing, even if it's not your thing, and writing / developing a rape fetish game. It's not even setting aside the other fantasy elements, just what someone is comfortable being directly associated with. Like if I was part of a porn game development team and the game was shifting to have most / all scenes involve scat / piss I'd drop out, since it's not something I'd want to work on.

And I think just about everyone knows more options means a huge amount more development time, which is more likely to kill a small team project like this. There's a reason pretty much every multiple choice story requires either a massive a number of bad / alternate ends or a diamond shape. Obviously if a route lasts 1-2 scenes before you hit an end then the game doesn't bloat, but if there aren't those ends you have either a diamond or pyramid shape.

A pyramid shape is what happens when each choice branches to be separate from each other choice and continues for a similar length, you end up with exponentially more endings. For example, if there are only 2 choices that all go the same length you have the following:

You know back in my day we had to use a scale to find out if a person, who might have been someone who is proficient in the arts of sorcery (numbers and such), is what we thought they were. If that person weighed the same as a duck, it meant that they were made out of wood and they had to be burned. Quite the logical conclusion if you ask me.

I previously played this game for 1 hour, after that one hour I can go into a tent and fuck orcs for money (It means mc turned into a whore), there I deleted the game Because I guessed that this is not a slow burn game, that means MC does not have a heavy personality ( Reasonable high resistance for various reasons ) , she is a slut, but now a question came to me, are the other paths other than the prostitute path slow burn or are they also fast burn?

Actually gross that their patreon subscribers increased to 642 again. Pretty sure most of them chose the 1$ option, but still surprising considering the 6 months with no real update.

its more likely they pad their numbers to make it feel like there's more patrons to entice people to support it more...its pretty common tactic right now where they themselves create fake accounts and support their own patreon especially when a downturn is expected

Maybe, but they would be losing money in the process since Patreon takes its fees from every pledge.
