The patreons and places like this have been pushing for a more sub and whorish Sabia, so if that wasn't a direction Sierra wanted to write for it's pretty fair to walk away. I assume they'll put their best foot forward with this one but future updates will be interesting.

The dom sabia tekrok scene was rad. I think sub sabia is also good if it means she isn't just completely submissive/ still retains her arrogance.
Arrogance:
having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities.
"she's arrogant and opinionated"

synonyms:haughty, conceited, self-important, egotistic, full of oneself, superior;

IMO arrogance is more associated with domination. Still, the existing system is fit for a wide variety of personalities. If she has 1 point in domination and 10 points in submission, she could retain some arrogance as you put it, but if she has 0 points in domination and maximum submission, she'd probably lose her sense of superiority and importance, possibly succumbing completely to Orc life.

Well it seems Monsinne was the one who wrote the Pillar of Powers short story so I'd say the writing is in safe hands.

I wonder if it would be too much to hope for them adding the very first scene back in?

Wow, quite the reaction that people have regarding the (astonishing, far-reaching) news from Hreinn Games. Well, it should be an interesting update to say the least since Sierra was not involved in it one way or another for several months.

Did not know that. Well, alright then. Oh, regarding the other matter, didn't that scene get injected back into the game as a dream sequence or something? At least, that's what I've heard. Y'know, as part of one of the Bonus packs, iirc.

Refreshing news, sierra has been atrocious writer, I mean he WAS (is)a writer not like 99% of other alleged "writers" that write scenes in porn games on this site(hello summertimesaga most brilliant example of preschool level writing), but
writing in the scenes was very repetitive and after playing riven game which was very decent it just lost its charm and became boring

now then, since this game still can be good and well managed giving a chance to Nomo person is an option but that is a possibility not after this one but the update that comes next

healthy change very healthy
My apologies but Sierra is a she, just wanted to inform you.

Well, me, for one.

If you specifically want a porn game developer, is written by a woman and it's nasty (in a good way).

FSG isn't a great example, it's very light BDSM that slides into rape by accident because the author doesn't really understand how consent works (the big tell is that the rape is in scenes that are otherwise very obviously meant to be vanilla).

TBF I don't think it was referenced for the quality of the writing (or lack thereof), but for the popularity despite/because of the themes.

The point is that it doesn't tap into rape kink intentionally in the same way that, say, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice does. Or the way this game or NN does, for that matter.

Well, Sierra leaving was to be expected, especially based on she was sharing with her own Patreons about her main focus being TLS and writing novels... what the change will mean for KoD remains to be seen.

But based on some comments about increased focus on Sub Sabia path (instead of more or less similar focus on both Sub and Dom path) it doesn't look good. Comment about meeting fans expectations also don't inspire confidence considering how many games I saw that ended up completely destroyed (and subsequently abandoned) by their authors trying to add what some of the more vocal "fans" wanted.

I'm definitely worried about that, this game had something very unique going for it and it sounds like they wanna give the whiners what they want and basically turn it into NN2.

But on the other hand, the dom path barely has any h-content at all (just some variant dialogue and the Vehlis scene), and I liked NN a lot. So maybe this'll be for the better after all.

I dare say you inflicted some major burns there.:LOL::LOL:

I am bit worried too but for now will wait until 0.7 arrives to see what are the changes.

What does it tell you that game started off with specific kinda content which gains it a lot of patrons, then later change direction and start to lose patrons?
It's annoying to see people cry about content you like, it's even more annoying to see devs cater to those people. There just happens to be really large market for corrupting women in games.

While I wasn't a huge fan of KoD, I appreciated the fact that it was trying to do something different, rather than be a clone. I hope they still intend to follow their own path, rather than just blindly follow what people scream loudest about. There's plenty of examples where that didn't end well.
