I think everybody understood what they were saying it's just that hardly anybody believes them at this point.I make a short summary for people that have a hard time understanding their post:
they had to invest alot of time into making new assets for the new locations, which is why this update takes longer than usual. Once the new assets are in place, the devs can pump out more scenes focussing on the story and hentai stuff.
expecting them to release a new locations with new characters, story, dialogues, quests and so on in the same time frame than the old updates, is just retarded.
have they lied or scamed their patrons in some way?I think everybody understood what they were saying it's just that hardly anybody believes them at this point.
And rightfully so.
I dont think you have been paying attention...have they lied or scamed their patrons in some way?
Read last x pages.have they lied or scamed their patrons in some way?
Not really, the whiners are just unhappy with how long the updates have been taking. Which, fine, but that's not the same thing as scamming. Scamming is when you do something like selling books on the kindle store that are written by other people with the names search-and-replaced, or selling games on steam that look like real games in the screenshots but are just asset bundles when you actually open them up.have they lied or scamed their patrons in some way?
and I gave the whiners the reason why this update takes longer than usual. But the whiners don't care and I don't even know why I try to reason with them. It's like trying to explain something to a retard. Not really, the whiners are just unhappy with how long the updates have been taking.
Just because my brain insisted on it, here's the time between updates, roughly rounded to quarter months. As a note, Sierra left around update 5 (I think, not bothered to go back to double check the exact timing, I just remember the announced it like 2 updates after the split happened), but we can definitely see that update 5 is where the slowdown really started. The game becomes more complex and development time will continue to increase with each passing update. That's the trend since they entered development and they should just bite the bullet and be transparent with their patrons. Release dates of each update since the beginning:
0.1.0 - 25/05/2017
0.2.0 - 28/07/2017
0.3.0 - 07/10/2017
0.4.0 - 20/01/2018
0.5.0 - 23/05/2018
0.6.0 - 17/09/2018
0.7.0 - 01/01/2019
0.8.0 - 10/04/2019
0.9.0 - 00/08/2019
In 0.5 they added raiding, improved visuals (map and inventory) and redone a lot (almost all) of code. So I can understand why it took them four months to do that. But after 0.5... I guess after Sierra left they stopped putting a lot of effort into the game. I don't think they are intentionally scumming people over, I just think they don't really want to work faster, so they decided to have this 3-4 months cycle. And keep making promises, so people who want faster updates would have some hope.Just because my brain insisted on it, here's the time between updates, roughly rounded to quarter months. Sierra left somewhere during patch 0.6 and 0.7. Considering that they had to find a new writer and coder the delay wasn't even significant when it's compared to the rest.In 0.5 they added raiding, improved visuals (map and inventory) and redone a lot (almost all) of code.
