He probably means that 2 years of straight up complaints in this thread is a bit TOO much. A thread where one message about bad devs is repeated hundreds upon hundreds of time, and people circlejerk about it, is a little bit different from just complaining.
There is a distinct lack of critical thinking that is required to say "Oh people have been spamming this thread for years, it's a circlejerk!"

First, you (Not necessarily you, just saying) need to realize that people come and go, there is a sizeable userbase here, for example, I played this game once like 4-5 years ago, dropped it cause it had little content, then I picked it up around a month ago and then came to this thread to talk about it. Am I not allowed to do this because someone else voiced similar 'complaints' 2 years ago? Do you think that makes sense?

Second, if the devs repeat the same mistakes with each patch, the players will talk about them, if the writing each patch is consistently shit, it's gonna get clowned on by numerous people, old and new.

Third, if the devs add new mistakes, such as the top-down view porn, people will most definitely flock to laugh/meme/'complain' about it and the thread will be full of shittalking.

So I'm curious, how exactly is this supposed to work? Do we only have a specific quota of 'complaints' (There is a lot of discussion going on, so just generalizing everything as 'complaint' feels a little dishonest) that we can post in a given thread before newer players/users are discouraged from posting?

Really, that guy's posts got deleted (as well as mine), but he didn't address my question regarding the supposed system that is supposedly in play here, so I'm still looking forward to an explanation by anyone who believes that we're no longer allowed to discuss how shit the devs are.

Just look at how cool Nomo can do art, but instead we'll get several identical suen from top to bottom repeated high excision and the promise of a new update in the next 4-6 months, it just seems to me that we should start expressing these mislies not here but in Discorde, maybe they will at least think about getting on the right path

Good luck with that. Nomo deletes people's posts or boots them from his Discord for openly criticizing the game.

I wouldn't mind the top down view, it would even be good, if they switched to the traditional CGs when the actual sex starts. The top down view could be used to set the scenes better.
Of course, by that point, should've done the game in RPGMaker in the first place to have a top down view to set the scene before actual sex CGs.

You know this is actually crazy. Supporting a different dev and that dev pretty much posts every 3-4 days about their progress and they also make polls on what to add and in which form. Also they are listening to constructive criticism

Which game/dev?
Saria Reclaimed's dev is honestly one of the hardest-working devs I've seen in a long time, look to his game if you want someone who clearly gives a shit. Monthly updates and it's a solo project iirc, he makes top tier art, has an actual VA for the MC, and is polishing the gameplay, granted, it's 0.1, but considering the monthly update schedule, it won't be for long.

I've lost count of his streak, but every month for at least half a year has been a new update with actual content, he focuses one month on smut, and another on gameplay, and he has a roadmap for intended features/bufixes/changes.

The fact that the developer does not read and does not care matters little, we're free to discuss and criticize. You cannot criticize a shit movie with fellows nowadays? You can't type your opinions (no matters how repetitive, and maybe if a majority of the users repeat 'em there's something behind it) in a forum with your fellow degenerates?

KoD had a weird development, and I distinctly remember their points that the "simplified" art was to ensure faster content production. That didn't happen. The writing, even the smut writing, is becoming more and more "functional" - AI generated smut is more engaging, while here it's clear the writer is running to finish the scene because he doesn't care. Also, some characters flat-out disappeared (who remembers the martial artist from the previews? I do).

I find the Take No Prisoners/GTA perspective fascinating, because it's another clear attempt at optimization. It's copy&paste low effort at its best, and I bet my pants that you could find an artist that would manage to draw all the tokens required in 1-2 days. Nomo also clearly still has the skills to do proper art (the Nun scene from a couple of extras ago) but by the Gods, it's extremely clear he's focusing on speed at any chance. What game can say that the art from five-six years ago was utterly on another level compared to its contemporary assets?

Artists are supposed to improve. Writing is supposed to get better. Cutting corners on this level is noticeable, and it's our goddamn right to complain in a pirate forum.

I'm just saying that repeating the same thing about devs, in a circle of people that's basically made of those who already agree with that, doesn't look very good and comes off as circlejerking. Nobody says you can't do that, and of course there's no specific amount of complaints either, but it just wouldn't look good. Though it is funny to read, so i'm not annoyed like that guy was, but it's hard to take the thread seriously now. The point was made long ago, by now it's just a collection of jokes about Hreinn being bad.

I have no idea how such a blatant scam can possibly be legal.
Every "update" they release I wonder about that.

Man this game could have been so much more. The art was so amazing at the start and now we only get the downgraded bimbo one

How is their Discord, by the way? Are there actually people cheering them on for their updates or what's the general atmosphere there? Anyone here that has been there for a longer period of time to give some insight?

ye i was their patreon for almost a year but i stopped once i understood they were only prolonging the thing
This is why I stopped supporting anyone, most of the games are abandoned or just prolong to get more money (and only have 3 updates a year, 2 of them are bugfixes). Make a game and sell it, and I'll happily pay for it.

They have other threads to discuss whatever, post memes and lewd art. When it comes to actually discussing KoD, they either pander to the devs or remain quiet.

Sabia's warrior personality was also at least present back then. Even when submitting in that scene, I think she gives a sarcastic, "Yeah, you're really virile" in remark to one of the orcs talking about how much he was going to fuck her. Writing back then at least still indicated she wasn't there to screw every orc. The Dom path now, she's fully into it, well beyond where even Neve was at the beginning who told her she occasionally enjoyed an orc from time to time.
