the end made me chuckle, cause there totally isnt more problems into this world than the "gang splitting up"
Anyway I agree with some points but overall I hard disagree that it was Sierra at fault, she if anything to go by her other games was the best voice in the team, with the art, vision and so many others,I played her other games and had a blast, not the best in terms of graphics as many are old but the story is great and generally we should have more women writte or make porn games,Karlssons gambit is another example and probably one of the top games on this site, atleast when it comes to femdom but it has a great story, characters n dialogue in addition to world building that it should be in the top even if some people arent into femdom.
I do agree that the model of managment and lone wolf type is not a good business model and should be changed like you said with some circle/freelance support but generally I must say the easiest fix would be to ban crowdfunding and releasing games unfinished,go back to releasing only finished ones, this way then we will eliminate all the unserious and generally clowns who think that anyone can be a game developer, which is stupid and wrong, devs n players should have standards. None of the AI bullshit or rushed milking games.
I think you misunderstood, I meant it to be "let's look at every angle fair and square" and that is the "worst" that Sierra has done IF it is the case.
The world of Kingdom of Deception is absurdly large for such a small team of 3 people, compare it to the League parody game they did where it's basically... 4-6 maps in total.
While with KoD it's at least 10+.
So I never blamed Sierra beyond that she may or may not have had a larger scope for the game than what the rest of the team could handle, as I said the biggest blame rest on whoever was suppose to manage the project to start, and ultimately Sierra has shown she can make complete games without some buffoon(s) pestering her or interrupting her responsibility.
I respect her regardless if she added fuel to the fire that is KoD, because her mistake is so minimal and could've been rectified via post-release content.
And unfortunately I think if crowdsourcing goes away (which to be fair seems to become increasingly likely due to the war against smut), we won't see an increase in HQ games, just different form of cash grabs, they'll scale back to Flash era games where you play strip poker and that will be the peak.
Since the west doesn't really have the Japanese circle culture, and freelancers are way too damn expensive and don't care about giving input about if something sucks.
Then its difficult if they want to continue the original KoD, the character copyright is not own by themself
Pretty much impossible, unless Hreinn games owns everything (which I doubt).
