3. There's a guarded chest in the Tavern. In the evening go to the Tavern. The guard will have moved and you can access the chest.

It's written in the Quest giver dialogue.
In the gardens. You'll need to complete the Medusa Temple first though. (Acquiring the capacity to clear paths)
