I can't see any scenes and when I talk to the NPCs I just see them as chibi and I'm going to leave the island

I can finally see what's going on instead of just reading it thanks
Anyone else run into the problem with this game running at what seems like 100x speed? On the create character screen your character's hands are meant to sway as an idle animation but it looks like The Flash trying to create a tornado. The game goes to a screensaver in less than a second of inactivity so I have to constantly move the mouse.
I've run all sorts of stuff in Wine over the years (figured out on my own I needed to use winetricks vb6run to install the missing DLL, then installed the WebP thing into the wineprefix, after that it launches fine) but I've never had a game run so fast it's unplayable before. It's like Max Payne or an old cycle-speed-reliant DOS game being run on a supercomputing cluster.
EDIT: tried different versions of Wine until I got it running at normal speed, but on every version it crashes with that 445 error the second you try to load in on a new character. Well, guess I'm not playing this after all. Didn't realize it was on such a weird custom game engine.

Might be because the game was built in Windows and has to be organized using Windows. On Wine, we have no way of even seeing how it'll react since neither of us have Mac's to test or build on.
But yeah, since it's our own engine, other things like JOIPlay or Wine; it'll most likely fail in some regard. Sorry about that but maybe we can port something when the game is fully done.

most likely wines "emulation" of the API GetDeviceCaps is not working
that API checks the monitor vsync to know your monitor hz.
if u can, open the login and settings and see what FPS is show.
another thing is to try the "software mode".
if its not that API it could be Direct2D is not locking to the fps, software will "emulate" that instead.

anyone with a bit of knowledge knows theres something called "false-positive"
a 3/72 is not enough to even consider this dangerous.
this is not the first time we informed the public about false-positive. for years now.
its up to u of course. but Im thinking that after 6 years we have a good reputation
with 0 reports from users with virus/trojans/warm/malware issues because of that .exe it should grant us some trust.

How do you get out of the Christmas event? I see no way to get branches for the snowman. And I can not find the 3rd secret button. I've spent 5 minutes trying over and over to find any kind of button on the chrismas tree in Santa's house.

the cheat-detector scans for whats in your task manager.
like Cheat Engine, ArtMoney, Squalr, WeMod, CoSMOS etc.
close any memory-tool before starting the game should work.
another thing it will check is if the ability points are corrupted or altered.
like u have too much STR/DEX/INT/LUK.
it could be its not true, that the detector did something wrong, if u want u can send the .sav and I can look into it.

the problem is I haven't even got a save yet so it definitely can't be any altered values, I'll try restart my PC since I used wemod for Cyberpunk a while ago and it might still be in the background but not showing for me in my open apps

You can talk to I think it's Rupi. There's also Rudi but the NPC in front of Santa's House will take you out of the event.
To return, just buy another Invitation from Lakelis and get the medal from an enemy to return.
As for the 3rd button, try scanning inside of Santa's House. It's around the tree

My bad, it's Bichu who I was thinking of. She has a quest as shown here.
Activates certain content more extreme than most. If you press q with the Care activated, you'll see the quests in question and how to unlock them. the first is with Maggie a few screens ahead.
