He can also read 3 months old the devs post on the previous page where he says "hoping to release new update in the next few weeks."...
And the most importantly he should be fully aware how different worlds of developers and players are.
For example, apart from obvious life threatening dangers to which devs are exposed everyday, perhaps even more important fact is that time frames are very different between those two realities. One day in devs world can last a weeks in players world and so on...

No offense, but this is the kind of bullshit that brings haters to hardworking devs when they take long to release quality content. You did this shit with Man Best Friend and ended up abandoning the game, and you keep doing this on this one.
I'm well aware developing a game takes time, specially if it is a quality project, and I try to defend a dev when they ask time for their project, but for a long time I've learned to not trust your continuous lies, sorry.
If you can't develop a game due to irl circumstances it's fine, shit happens, we all have responsabilities, but stop doing these kind of promises please. It doesn't seem a scam due the lack of patreon type platforms in the thread, but with all due respect, I don't see the point of continuously saying you're going to deliver something when the developing is slower than cooking with sunlight.
Even if you end up still bringing something (which I doubt), there's no reason to say it will be soon when clearly won't.

Btw, my stance isn't about having hope or not, but actually giving false expectations. There are many devs out there that take long to release a game as well, still they give fair expectations to their game's content. It's no use to say you're going to deliver a game in March if you need at least until October to give a quality release.
I'm not a guy who complains about lack of updates by itself, I understand game development takes time and effort. My issue, besides that the game content doesn't explain the amount of development, is giving false expectationss, along with having history of giving those before. And this brings trolls and negativity to hard-working devs when they need time, since unfortunely many games in this industry tend to get abandoned.
As I said in the post above, I understand the dev can have his irl issues, shit happens. I don't have any kind of ill hatred towards the dev, the content that was released till now was fun, but giving false expectations over and over isn't the way to gain trust from the fans.
