Hmm, just downloaded the new version and no characters are showing up, when I click open folder it says the game can't access it.

Old version works.
There are a bunch of new characters in this version compared to older versions. If you made a character that shares a name with one of the new characters then your roster page will be blank. The fix to this is listed earlier in the thread somewhere as I had the same problem and found the remedy for it earlier in the thread I believe. Either that or a small training session of google fu was what solved it for me. Can not remember honestly.

Imho the reason KYFC2 could feel less satisfying could be due to the fact that it's the same playstyle as the first one. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the second one because of the updated models and animations, but I feel like Solas got a way bigger success because it's a different genre and honestly that could be the path to be taken here.

I'm not a game developer, but my understanding of it as an user is that there's two ways. You either keep making the same stuff you enjoy making, and people enjoy playing, or you take different directions with every project you start. The first one feels a bit soulless and cashgrab, but it doesn't have to be.

I'd say I've thoroughly enjoyed every game you gave us, some more than others (yeah Dungeon Coup wasn't the best), but I think turn-based combat is no more. Jumping into a different direction might be the way, and afaik you're already working on another game? So that's good.

For KYFC2 I'd say just wrap up the story as it is and leave it be. I understand that this isn't "dropping" the game but it's very similar, but if you don't enjoy working on it anymore then I don't see why you should.


No idea why I've typed this over here and not on Patreon, but I guess hopefully we can have a discussion over here with other users.

Just please, keep making videogames for the next few years because the porn games industry is absolutely fucked lately and I don't want to lose a good developer.

I'll give my thoughts here as well since I feel this will reflect my point of view more accurately.

For me it's quite simple, I'm not into turn-based RPGs. It's a game genre that I just do not enjoy. I'm generally willing to put up with it for an H game if the lewd content is good — and that's what I've been doing with both Kinky Fight Club games — but now that Solas is a thing, more often than not I just feel like I'd rather be playing that.

To make a parallel with one of your peers Enlit3D, my favorite game of theirs is most definitely Heroine Rescue Team. And now that you've come out and announced your next game will be in that same vein, I'm stoked!

So yeah, I'm going to echo PaNiq's wishes here. Don't let that bring you down, you're one of the good ones. And while I can't speak for everyone's reasons for not being as attracted to KyFC, for me it's just a matter of taste in games, and your next one will assuredly be right up my alley.

I like some of the change between 1 and 2. Honestly I think the main problem is that the focus is being taken away from the matches. The "open world" mansion is simply not fun to navigate. A "radar" might help to show where other characters or training spaces are? Speaking of the training areas, why is this even a thing?

We need some addition by subtraction. The mansion needs to be about 20% the size of what it is right now. There are about 5-7 rooms you need to have, with maybe one more to give variety to where characters might be. The training mechanics is not good if you ask me and I believe it should be removed entirely. The first game worked just fine with increasing stats. It is not broken, please dont fix it.

The story of 1 was not a strong point if you ask me, and I think 2 is suffering more because I can not simply click my way through it to get into the next choice/match. I know the time and effort that went into making the characters, but there is no reason why I, as a player, should care about any of them. If there were mini stories to get me invested into any of the characters then maybe I'd have a modicum of interest in them? Otherwise they are no different than being randomly generated characters.

The gameplay is certainly different between 1 and 2. I like the character model upgrades. Let's be real, who doesn't? The fights themselves on the other hand do not feel as rewarding as they did in 1. The real time version of battle, I think is a problem. This is a hentai game first and the real time element does not work for me at all. All in all I think this game is being packaged improperly for what I feel it should be. This is a very rare occurrence in game design where all the things that got added outside of the core game idea just miss the mark.

Do I think this game is a final fantasy 14? Perhaps it might be worth redoing the whole thing. What ff14 is now compared to what it was the first time the game was released is worlds apart. I think that might be the best way to approach this game as well. Tear down and remove all the chaff. Focus on the core element of the game which is the kinky fights. The story mode should be entirely scrapped and looked at after the core gameplay is looked at again. Perhaps even remove many of the abilities that are available to the player/cpu and rebalance based off of that?

This might be a tough pill to swallow, but you realize this game is not hitting the mark it is intended to. You can rebuild this, and hopefully the revisions that are made will bring the focus back to what made the original a good game.

Before you read this keep in mind I haven't played the latest version of the game yet. I am on 0-6-3 as opposed to the 0-7 version on Patreon.

My main problem with this game is that I can tell there's meant to be a variety of builds and ways they can interact with one another but it's not visible in gameplay because the NPCs, which is the only thing we can fight against, are as incompetent at using their tools and abilities as your average cartoon villain goon. They can't tell what skill to use or when (they might completely dominate and not use terminate for example), they can insist on trying to dominate when there's no point to and I think, except for the submissive type characters, most of them usually focus too much on trying to dominate even if they aren't built for brawling. I feel this is also the main reason why avalance NPCs are the hardest to fight against since they are some of the few that make proper use of their builds and I suspect this is also why most people perceive some builds as overpowered. Not because there aren't ways to properly counter them but because the NPCs don't know how to respond to them. Since the gameplay is the main thing I like this game for this issue is more prevalent for me. Perhaps it could improve by giving the AI some different approach to how they act depending on the build of their enemy and a better idea of when to use some skills (especially terminate, tight squeeze and most of the counter skills) and also make them focus on weaknesses if they are able to.

Another issue, although not as important as the first, is the upgrading system in the story. For this perhaps it's just me but I find it to be quite confusing and I just prefer the normal one more.

I haven't moved far into the story yet so I can't comment much on it (I am at the point where I just joined a team) but so far I don't feel there's anything serious going on. Right now I am used to seeing characters commenting how good they or someone else is only to get folded when I actually fight them. I liked the story in the first more because at least I had a character who stood out more (the rival who also served as a nice comedy relief character) and the whole thing about the survival of the fight club gave the whole thing a purpose. To put it simply I don't quite feel there's a story being told yet (again I have not gone far in yet so this whole paragraph could be completely wrong).

As for the mansion I don't feel any particular way towards it. I don't mind it being big or having seemingly useless spaces because I feel it adds to the atmosphere (obviously not everything you'd see in a normal open environment need to serve a purpose) .The only part about it I find annoying is that there can be characters hidden in places I am not willing to look and thus won't interact with them a lot of the time. I would like however some more variety in reactions from the characters as regards to my progression like anger or annoyance. I feel like they are all a little too positive.

Last thing I want to say is that I prefer this game to solas city heroes, even though I feel like I am a minority here. But this is one of the very few games I personally feel have good replayability mainly because of the gameplay itself focusing on sex scenes as opposed to a lot of other games that make us spend significantly more time in normal gameplay than the sex scenes. That being said I really like Solas and I feel it handled some things better (mainly the story and it revolving around a superhero theme) but overall this game has been one of very few games I've been looking forward to here and I really like what I have seen in it so far.

Will add additional comment here. The game is great, but all the time spent in that mansion and free roaming is taking away from the core. The core of it really is just a porn wrestling game, with good character customization, and positions. The free roaming is too much of a distraction tbh, and I just rush through it to move on. A story could be good with menus, and would likely take a lot less development time for you.

Tbh lol, one of the things I feel a lot of porn devs too is make too much game. And then spend like a year+ working on updates that really don't mean much.

Wow. Okay, that mansion sucks balls. Not only is the map to extensive, everything on the map is simply too big. Did that level designer work at Cryptic during the noughts by any chance? Because this is Star Trek Online cavernous starship interiors levels bad.

That said, I think PaNiq is pretty much spot on. Wrap things up stroy-wise and move on to the next project. KFC2 is okay for what it is, but what it is is just not a genre to hope for massive success with. Which I'd say is because compared to the fast-paced action in Solas City Heroes, the gameplay in KFC2 feels like a snails race through molasses.
