So wait, is multiplayer functional without steam connection? Do i just have to download every mod that exists currently?

Every mod the server is using so quite often just easier to have all or none
anyone want to join me for multiplayer dm me if yes and just add these two mods

and your good just download extract and drag the 2 folders inside thing once extracted to AppData\LocalLow\Naelstrof\KoboldKare\Mods to join its the lunaris and azurian silver derg mods if you want to know if you want no mods thats fine too

Coming in to update, as I just ran an update pass and the list has changed (but unfortunately is not empty; fortunately, all of Kaunan's mods no longer give Access Denied errors).
The following Steam Workshop mods currently give access denied errors to anonymous download attempts. It is unconfirmed if users who own KoboldKare on Steam, as well as previous subscribers of the mod, are still able to access them.

Would be nice if the game was more refined. At this rate, it'll remain less of a product than some of the abandoned games here...
if you want it more refined, you or another modder are gonna have to do it yourselves, the dev's stated on steam (if i remember right) that they consider the game complete, as the f95 tag shows, so KK is not gonna get anymore updates anytime soon as Naelstrof works on other projects.
i do agree that the current version of the game (at least vanilla) leaves a lot to be desired. GIMME BACK MY SEED EXTRACTER DAG NABBIT!

thx, I had it installed via steam and it kept installed even after getting deleted, but I unsubscribed to all my mods trying to find one that was preventing me from playing and forgot about it
It would be nice if the game got continued like rack did, except this game is entirely more open sourced...

Rack 2 died with a whimper several years ago after months of neglect. Fek still hasn't officially acknowledged this, despite teasing a nothing-burger update a month or two ago. The only ones continuing it were some modders, and even they stopped once it was clear Fek wasn't finishing it before the heat death of the universe.
