If both are just vanilla, then yes. With mods/plugins Koikatsu has an arguable edge of Sunshine. Personally, I prefer Koikatsu over Sunshine because of some specific mods/plugins that hasn't been made/ported over to Sunshine

They use it for the character creator and studio scene creator

I opened studio in koikatsu x22. And dont find any animated scenes. Only static and they are few. Where i can find them?

In particular? Shoujo overlay for KK_LewdCrest made by Mini JuHua. KK_LewdCrest never got ported to Sunshine (KK_LewdCrestX is a whole different plugin inspired by KK_LewdCrest) and the Shoujo Overlay is basically an extension for that plugin, so by virtue also hasn't been ported over.

There's KK_BetterPenetration plugin for that. Included in BetterRepack and HF Patch, for both Koikatsu and Sunshine.

New to Koikatsu, before I commit to downloading 40+gb on a meh internet, can anyone give me a gist on differences in both betterrepacks in terms of content like poses, outfits, mods, translation quality? I don't particularly care about school setting have a thing for school outfits...

You can't.
PNG for Koikatsu card is not 'just a picture'. There's info on 3D assets encrypted in it.
If you want to get a card of a character from a ren'py game you can:
- Try to search for the name of the character in

- If there's none, you can create your own close resemblance in Character Maker. Everybody else does it, it's not something super complicated.

I'm looking for some clarification. Does KKS BetterRepack 12 effectivly bypass the need to install the HF Patch? After reading what the two add, it seems like BetterRepack comes with everything the HF Patch would add.

Should I still install the HF Patch after installing BetterRepack 12?

Lastly, what about the KPlug? Do I still need to download the KPlug or does that also come preinstalled with BetterRepack 12?
