Lol, I didn’t know that there were so many restrictions on stealing videos from the author’s Patreon... I was never a paid subscriber, I thought that you just download videos available for subscription and that’s it.

that's a stupid way to protect your work...i don't know about the details, but... it supposed to have the IP address or email address in the videos of the patron, the one that paid the said videos. say, for example; you paid for a video, then in that video, there would be your IP address or email address written on the top right corner. yes, both with the watermark as well

Early access videos can only be viewed via an embedded player in the Patreon post, and only after entering your Patreon associated email into the player to authenticate. When you hit play the embedded player tech does behind the scenes magic using the source video plus your personal info to create a new video to send in the response which has your watermark on it.
I mean, it's a pretty clever way to prevent leaks until early access is over. The fact that he eventually releases the original video after early access is smart too. If he never did that then there would be some super sweaty try-hard people trying to crack that video tech or painstakingly editing out the watermark. But now it's like "meh, EA will end eventually and it'll get leaked - not gonna bother".

How i see it is that koko found this thread and made sure to build up everyone's impatience and anticipation, and just as he builds enough of these folks, he rids of early access. Actually that sounds stupid
