Yeah this was something that was discussed in this thread before. I can't draw for shit so i can't possibly tell how long it takes to draw stuff like this, but i'm a game dev so for me personally his updates are very small, especially considering he advertised 0.5 as a big update, which turned out very short. As well as the game having very weird grammar errors, like the characters referring to Haruto as "she" sometimes. There's no way that's a full months work, unless he can't code at all and spends 3 weeks trying to code the game using chatgpt or something, but the game is made in renpy engine and it should be pretty easy, not only that but from what i saw he has some guy fixing bugs for him, so maybe he also helps with coding. The art is nice and the story and pacing is good so far, but damn i doubt the game will progress into anything worth playing even in a year or two. My pig princess has a far more detailed art style with many more scene and character diversity, and look how far the game has gotten in 2 years (or even 1.5 years considering the latest update came out just recently and took almost a year, while adding just 15-20 minutes of gameplay and one sex scene). Seriously though, if kimkun has some personal or family issues that hinder his ability to work, he can just come out and say that, no one will judge and everyone will understand, but currently it just looks like bro works 2 hours a day. Either that or he has some serious issues organizing and planning
I mean if you decided your business model is monthly releases for paid subscribers, you should fully expect to be criticized for the lack of content, and the free version release after a month argument doesn't work here, because you're still offering paid content to subscribers. He made that crystal clear by adding a patreon paywall login system, he isn't just collecting donations or offering bonus scenes for paid versions like some other devs who add a bonus animation or two for subscribers. Not only that, but even if he was just collecting donations, people would still be allowed to wonder where is the money going.As a serial procrastinator and university trained spaghetti coder myself, I don't mind updates being slow or not that big. That's just how it is when you play WIP games. If that annoys you just wait till its complete.
Somtimes you spend way too long on somthing and you think you did way more work then you did. I one spent 19hrs working on changing the color of a on screen HUD. The color picker and adjustments where cool as shit to me. But at the end of the day it was only a few buttons to change the color, so not that impressive. lol This was way before ai and a lot of that time was combing forums looking for documentation on how the fuck to do what I wanted to do.
I think the current amount of images and animations per scene is perfect (aside from the weird triple animated breast groping from 0.5), i think if he made less images per scene it would seriously harm the perfect way this game is looking. That's not the problem here, the problem is that he doesn't spend as much time drawing as he should for unknown reasons (most likely technical side of the game). What he also needs is a good sound designer because holy shit the sounds were already not that great in this game, but in 0.5 they were truly bad with how loud and out of place some of them were, and the camshow sound when Naimi was masturbating with the japanese woman talking? It looked so rushed, like he just found them using google search in 10 seconds and dropped in the game without any work done

The problem is that the number of still and animated graphics for each scene is what hinders the development of the game because Kim focuses on the graphics in each scene. Imagine that this update has 6 scenes. I think that Kim considers the scene to be a single drawing, and this is really a problem because in this way, how many updates will we need over the years to get complete scenes for Hinata and the rest of the characters that were not even hinted at in the first place?
As long as the people who paid for it are bitching, you can always join the party imo. And it's not like you're sending him personal messages or commenting on his patreon, ultimately these discussions on a forum lead to nothing, we are just discussing the game here, and currently there's a lot of negative things to discuss.
The game isn't graphically complex at all, it's actually a pretty simple but effective art style, the color palette is also simple with minimal shading. The problem is 100% technical side, him making less images per scene wouldn't speed up the process that much and it would absolutely not fix the real issues of the game
Yes, I agree with you on this point. The problem that the game suffers from is the technical problems that must be solved in order for the game to continue, but I suggested lower fees in order for the game to progress quickly, reviving passion in the hearts of the players because Kim literally walks without plans in inserting scenes and continuing the story.
I really hope Kim sees our comments and opinions about the game because there are literally beautiful opinions here from good people in the field of games. I think Kim will benefit from them.
