I understand the effort his team must make but it is so little content. I'm looking forward to patch 50.0 in 20 years!

Thanks for correcting me,

I don't quite understand why the GUI error occurs. The file shouldn't be throwing any errors, nor should it break the interface. Like I mentioned before, the only two lines I changed are the ones that make the game recognize the result of the Patreon call as an active user.

Maybe the issue happens on computers where the game has internet problems and can’t connect to Patreon. After all, if it can't connect, it can't fetch anything.

I might consider another method for that later.
I appreciate your work man, we need more people like you.

Just a bit on insight to the GUI problem for future reference. I've read Screen.rpy code a bit and it looks like it has "style", "gui.text_properties()", and etc. That means that Screens.rpy handles some GUI stuff.

I think what happened is that the game is not reading the file properly if its saved in text format. When the game starts to read the file, it gets confused and don't know how to handle the GUI coz its in a different language (in simple terms). That's why its essential to make sure its actually saved as an rpy file by choosing Save as Type : All Files.

Nothing wrong with your modification, just the way it is saved. User error if you may.

Hope this helps so you don't have to deal with this issue as much and you can focus in cracking more games for us ;) :devilish::devilish::devilish:

I don't know if this is good or bad.

Dropping an update every month is already really fast, sure it doesn't have a lot of art, but all those games that take 7 months to drop an update don't have a lot of art either.
Hiring a new artist for a commission? Isn't a commission a one-and-done art piece that you pay for once? How does this make the game development faster?
Either something is lost in the translation, or this doesn't make sense unless he means to hire that artist to work on his game for an extended time.
And if he means that, I hope it's for adding more art, not trying to release faster updates.

What he needs is to hire a programmer to handle all the technical problems.
Oh, and btw, I know he already is working with one artist for the game. Possibly more, I just don't see the benefit of hiring one more at this point, not when the game needs technical support so much more.

You will obviously want to test the waters first, and if everything works out you can just keep commissioning art in long term. The game currently has so little content i wouldn't even call it anything above a 0.1 build, i haven't played that many games but games like my pig princess have insanely high quality art and the artist adds engaging sex scenes every update starting the very first version, with enough buildup and story too. I believe hiring another artist would greatly increase the content amount per update, which this game needs very much currently. As for the technical part, i honestly think hiring another artist and letting kimkun focus on the technical part for at least an update or two should be enough to fix most of the bugs (which there are not that many of and they don't really kill the immersion except maybe 1 or 2 game breaking ones).
Either way bigger team = more content, i see this as an absolute positive. I want to see the 0.5 update first but i can only assume that by having another artist on the team every update could be as big as the promised size of 0.5, maybe sometimes even bigger

We can't judge until we see updates 0.5 and 0.6, because Kim is counting on them a lot and says they contain a lot of content. We can say that they are the actual launch of the game. This game literally has one future if the story is exploited well, because above all else, the story is attractive and motivates you to continue. What kills the fun is the stupidity of the story or the length of the new updates.

The story is beautiful, it makes you stay and gives you the desire to explore more. I don't know, but I think that the game has a better start than Nnn. I'm not comparing. I'm just saying my opinion.
