First off, yes this is a porn parody so "the lore" don't really matter. But i'll make the argument for nerdiness sake:
Imo, making Krillin the main character isn't an issue, putting him in the shoes of Goku IS.
As bomb2022 said, characters like the Androids wouldn't exist as they are without Goku.
Krillin also don't have Goku's personality, the drive that pushes him to do the impossible and breaking limits. Whether or not he even CAN is beside the point.
As for whether or not Krillin can beat the bad guys Goku fought, the real question is "Can Krillin get strong enough by the time they show up?"

So to make this work, you'll either give Krillin some McGuffin power or otherwise alter his character so much that he isn't really Krillin anymore. You are essentially playing an OC that look like a DBZ character, AKA your average Dragon Ball parody.
first off it’s time travel, so you don’t know anything a krillin who knows how to fight and his moves is more powerful. And android? Dr just made them to beat goku, but if krilin takes his place as the person to end dev Rubin it’s the same outcome … the androids still get made.

there is zero prob with krilin being the MC up till names imo, cuz unless you maguffin it humans peak that is krilin peak was named, but he is sly

my two cents on Krillin being able to fight vegs and the rest? if he goes serious in training it should be possible, see Tenshinhan being able to block 2nd form Cell (which is leagues above Freezer) with the ki-ko-ho, so picture krillin being able to make his abilities to that level (without the drawback)
also he could get similar (or even the same) teachers like goku to get his version of kaioken, genkidama and any other (i picture kaioken infused kienzan being able to fillet perfect Cell)

frieza vs cell is a 50/50 i mean cell has 3 forms friza has 4 + gold/black
perfect cell can beat frieza up to 4. form
but frieza 4. form is powerful enough to beat cell 1. and 2. form

so it depends on who can transform faster
and cell can transform back if someone knocks the androids out of his stomach, which is weird..

also gold/black frieza can already beat blue goku and vegeta
so once frieza changes color, it's over for cell

it's a pity they never brought cell back
but then again what would come after perfection... god?

thinking about it cell has goku's dna so he could go super saiyan god and beyond
if he absorbed goku and vegeta
now i wanna see gold frieza vs god cell

as for krillin sure he can train with master roshi and kami/bobo all he wants
but there is no way whis or beerus would waste their time on a pathetic little earthling

and even if this dwarf somehow managed to defeat vegeta/frieza and cell
majin boo will simply transform him into gandy and eat him

i think you are forgetting that majin boo has to be awakened, and krillin would naturally take the path that trunks cannonically took, never allowing the awakening, and i'm measuring both freezer and cell at the point of their first debut, so blocking cell from absorbing 17/18 would be a play that krillin could do, he is not a crazy-level "allow my oponent to become more powerful" fighter after all (although the freezer/namek fights would be tricky to imagine)

also we can only speculate on how powerful an earthling can be when properly trained, the last tournament showed a lot of non saiyan being strong so is not correct to measure power thru saiyan "level" (heck, jiren is not saiyan and is the strongest, goku needed the fanfic level white haired saiyan form to win there)

but i'm pretty sure about the physical limits of us earthlings
we can't transform or fly

so even in a fictional universe there are certain power limits
unless the character is a mutant or hybrid or something...
but we humans are simply too weak and fragile

i mean krillin could learn kaioken but 10x kaioken would kill him...
because his little body can't handle it...

and you are not seriously comparing humans to aliens with superpowers?
jiren can bitch slap that dwarfs head of

there is no fucking way krillin can win the tournament, game over

Actually, in the manga version of Super, Master Roshi was able to toy with Jiren for a good few strikes, and even Whis was commenting how he was the closest to achieve Ultra Instinct (which probably inspired Salad Saiyan's Roshi wished for his youth what-if story where it's young & immortal Roshi who got Ultra Instinct and beat Jiren instead of Goku) till Goku got it because plot device.

So if we take Super's retcon as canon from the start, Krillin who is canonically the master of ki manipulation, who trains under Roshi seriously from the start of his new game+ life. It's not inconceivable for him to get perfect UI when Super comes around and actually capable of trick Jiren enough into win through a ring out.

i wouldn't overestimate roshi...
and tricking Jiren is extremely unlikely even with solar flare
Jiren would just stand still and krillin is too weak to push him, like a fly trying to move a wall

also dont forget the other fighters like hit who can just stop time and kick krillin and roshi out

not to mention that each universe needs 10 warriors
and without kogu universe 7 team would be: krillin, roshi, yamcha, tien, chiaotzu, and some others
well maybe android 18 if gero still makes her for some reason...
maybe broly....
krillin could ask frieza, vegeta and piccolo in hell but im not sure they would agree

still no chance

It's not an over estimation. It's literally what happened in canon in the manga version of Super. Jiren looks untouchible to Goku, so Roshi rushes over trying to show Goku how pure strength isn't the most important thing. And he was able to perfect dodge a few strikes from Jiren, getting him to lose his cool (technically he was already losing his temper while fighting Goku) till Roshi gets swiped hard enough to get knocked out of the ring. But not before Whis making a comment about how Roshi was very close to something, which later reveals to be Ultra Instinct. So we knows from one source of canon that it's possible for earthling to achieve Ultra Instinct, not to mention UI is an universal skill from Xenoverse if you want to count outside, but licensed material.

And the idea of earthling have to be weak without Goku there to save them simply because of birthright to me runs counter to the original spirit of Dragon Ball where Goku was born a low class, but able to break through his limit through hardwork. That honestly sounds more like Vegeta's original ideal where birthright determine one's strength.

Not related to the game, but that's honestly, a major problem I have with Super overall. It brings a lots of nostalgia factors from older dragon ball stories as nostalgia baits without actually follow the spirit from the original story. How the two ultra abilities get used as even more god form of the Saiyans than their god form is why I dropped the series completely. If they wanted to actually bring back the earthlings and have them be relevent than simple nostalgia baits, these should be forms for the earthling. Just have the saiyans go SSJGSSJ 4, or something.

but you can't win by just dodging.. you're just like an annoying fly
furthermore UI doesn't last long enough to tire jiren out, especially if he ignores you...
and just like kaioken it takes a toll on the body
especially on a fragile human body

so there is no way roshi or krillin can beat jiren, they are simply too weak.
earthlings are the weakest race in dbz their bodies can't get much stronger
and again humans can't transform

goku/vegeta can get stronger because of saiyan dna and this dna has no limits
i mean seriously saiyan bodies get stronger from fatal injuries
and kogu died like 4 times already

humans can only overcome their limits through genetic engineering
by pumping their bodies full of super steroids
by becoming a mutant/hybrid or being born as one
by replacing their weak body parts with machines and turning into androids/cyborgs
by being possessed by demons/spirits or alien parasites
by some kind of magic...
by hybridization/crossbreeding with more powerful races like saiyan or viltrumite...

tbh if a writer wants it then you can make a way to be able to win, like, dunno, saying that making some secret training you can unlock a temporal perfect power up or extreme technic to breach a power gap, combine that with cleverness (a human trait that is always tied to being our best part) and i can see him winning

also i raise the kikoho as an over human limit skill, like i said before tien (wich isn't near any android power, as the 17 "ass kicking of him and others at the same time" proves) to hold 2nd form cell with that, so i can totally see krillin or any other human being able to reach temporary overlimit abilities "easily"

Factually untrue. Once again, in manga version of Super, Roshi solo'ed a pride trooper on his own, simply by dodging and annoying that other guy so much, and then he guided his opponent's own strength and made him ring out. And once again, Jiren would not simply ignore Roshi and Krillin, because even in the original canon manga story Jiren didn't just ignore Roshi when Roshi charged at him. He started fighting Roshi, and losing his cool. So in a hypothetical second timeline with Roshi and Krillin both stronger than the original timeline after time repeat Krillin knows what's at stake. They do have a chance to win. Not a great, sure fired chance, mind you. But it's not 0% where they can't do anything against Jiren. Seriously, Jiren's mind isn't as perfectly balanced as some people seem to think.

"so there is no way roshi or krillin can beat jiren, they are simply too weak.
earthlings are the weakest race in dbz their bodies can't get much stronger

Once again, factually untrue. Because earthling were the first to get a transformation in Dragon Ball. It's just not a prominent transformation in the story so most people don't think about it. Yeah. I'm talking about Roshi's power (buffed muscle) stance. You can argue it's technique, but then UI should also be categorized under technique/skill than a transformation. And Roshi's power stance physically changes one's appearance/build more than UI, which means earthling's body is capable of some kind of transformation.

"goku/vegeta can get stronger because of saiyan dna and this dna has no limits
i mean seriously saiyan bodies get stronger from fatal injuries
and kogu died like 4 times already"

This is point, I half agree with. I would say Saiyan body does have the advantage on how fast it can grow stronger compared to an earthling, which would obviously give them a higher power ceiling. But as far as I can tell (granted, I haven't been following Super manga, since I don't think it's very well written), there's no hard evidence in DB lore saying earthling's body has a hard limit on how much power it can hold. The fact Super brought the earthlings back as fighters, and have them fight in universe survival tournament rather than dig up... I don't know. Namekians (who with their regeneration ability, suggest their body should be more suited for fighting than earthling), or other dead fighters like Freeza, suggest otherwise.

"humans can only overcome their limits through genetic engineering
by pumping their bodies full of super steroids

by being possessed by demons/spirits or alien parasites
by some kind of magic...
by hybridization/crossbreeding with more powerful races like saiyan or viltrumite... "

This point, I once again half agree with. The fastest way for an earthling to break their limit is through some kind of genetic/cybernetic ascension in DB. But I don't see it as a bad thing. If anything, resourcefulness is the strength of earthling in DB compared to Saiyan's brutal strength. Gero kidnapped two street punks, and after some cybernamic enhancement, knocked the super out of the super saiyans. One said street punk, who had no systematic training, and after fighting off some space poachers/big game hunters, was able to fight side by side with literal god mode Saiyans in universe survival tournament (granted, this is one of Super's big bad/lazy writing moment). And considering most earthling are naturally at around battle power of 5-10 range, saying earthling 'can't overcome their limit' is flat out disgenuine, since even if we low ball the earthling Z fighters battle power by Super era, they would at least be over Goku and Freeza's final battle power during Namekian storyline. That's a pretty astronomical 'limit break' if you crunch in the numbers. And they did it through pure training, with no easy transformation boost, or natural power growth just by getting beaten up.

So once again, I simply don't agree with the whole earthling shaming among certain DB fandom. Earthling characters don't get love from Toriyama and the extended DB production team because they aren't as popular as the fancier alien characters. But I always seen earthling more capable at breaking their natural limit compared to the alien races from a pure proportional level when they don't have Namekian's regeneration, Saiyan's growth boost, or Freeza race's inherent strength.

well roshi is a 300 years old martial arts master. tenshinhan is a half alien hybrid ,
and krillin had his hidden potential unlocked on namek through magic
and 18/17 are no longer humans they're androids. well 18 still has her uterus and vag...
so yeah they're not exactly your average earthlings...

this won't work on Jiren or hit...

buffing up your muscles is not a transformation. any bodybuilder can do that...
UI is a technique not a transformation, but saiyans can adapt to it making it more powerful
it also gives them white hair

no it's impossible dude neither roshi nor krillin can get powerful enough
and even breaking the entire arena won't work...

the only scenario in which krillin wins the tournament
is when all the other fighters jump out of the arena like a mass suicide just to let this dwarf win...

maybe if he promises them all he will use his wish to bring back all the universes
and they're like ok
then krillin and roshi have an orgy with all the girls right there on the arena

but then 18 wakes him up and it turns out this whole game was just a dream. happy end
shutulu you should do this ending anything else would be bullshit
