But there is work being done in modernizing the art and art system with more clothes and body variations (like the "style" of breasts, etc)
It's just a tad slow to progress because of how monumental a task it seems to be combined with this game now being developed entirely by a community of modders.
The developer of the original LR/LR2 pretty much dropped developing the game in the middle of attempting to change these systems themselves. Indicating either real life reasons came in between or the task itself was outside his ability, resulting in him giving up.
Progress on that side project may be slow, but looking at the discord, it's consistent.

Thanks this is basically what I was coming here to ask about.
I remember that the original dev designed the paper doll system in such a way that literally no one understood how it worked at first; even just a couple years ago the answer to "can we add new body types" was a resounding no.
I'm not in the discord anymore, so I was curious what progress had been made on that; sorry to hear it hasn't quite been cracked yet.
Can anyone tell me if there has been any progress from the last build to this one of the fetish system. If I remember correctly the exhibition fetish was not even started last time?
From what I see, it's cracked, but as you heard, it's convoluted as shit, making it very slow to replace or extend.
The Original developer pretty much coded himself into a corner with his approach.
Which is a common problem with devs of these kinds of games, they often exist in extremes. Great art/story/concept but no real ability to code or understand good coding, or having an ability to code and do it well without having the ability to do art/stories/concept right.
Luckily, stuff like Patreon and the Asian X-game sites somewhat improve this by expanding the user base and possibility for monetization. Leaving the possibility for them to hire someone to fill the hole in their skillset.
They still often opt not to do so as they prefer keeping the little money they make for themselves.
With this specific game, we're left with modders having to both fix the existing issues left by the original developer and put in an extraordinary amount of time to progress anything quickly.
Leaving us with slow, yet steady progress instead.

Some of the aforementioned coding changes were required for new content that is on the way. Notably, Nora is getting expanded and has something like 3k lines of code/dialogue already completed. There is also an expanded one night stand event for after dates, and a new date type, taking a girl out for drinks.

Vren actually gave no indication about why he disappeared. Speculation literally ranges from living in Ukraine to running out for cigs to return shortly.
Personally I wish that romance in this game could be a little harder, because right now it's really simple to pick up girls and have sex with them. Also it would be nice to see some cheating system where partner/husband of the girl, could catch his wife cheating and for example attack player.
But right now I agree that this game need more diversity in general look of the girls. More body types, breasts types, hair, clothes etc.

Nice I was about to ask too but TigerDiamond beat me to it! Hopefully there be different types of asses and thighs too in the future?
I really wish we could get a normal, simple and basic changelog, from version to version, like there used to be. I could never figure out (or actually find an actual "changelog") on gitgud. Very frustrating to get a new version and not know what is new or changed.
If they ever find a way to fix the characters looking like Daz golems this would go from a 8.5/10 game to a 11/10 game. The company management is solid and fun but the porn payoff is held back by that.
