. What you're calling a 'dev build' and what OverlordCW calls 'not an official release' should be considered a prelaunch alpha test version and not labelled 'beta'. It certainly shouldn't overwrite the real beta version in the official download link.

And if you really want sandbox participants to meaningfully contribute to testing you need to include release notes that tell them what they're testing and set up clear procedures and feedback measures so their tests can properly inform the devs and they can know it's making a difference.

I also ran into the bug where you can keep having sex in the same position after reaching 0% energy with either MC and/or partner. And yeah: had to start a new game.

The new build seems to be working well enough, the energy bug is curious, but hardly game breaking. I'll post another build with mods whenever it gets fixed.

Thanks for that but I did save the old build and have reverted. My concern is basic courtesy towards those who haven't and those new to the game. Primarily I'd like to see the game go forward a bit more effectively than it has of late and to do so is going to depend on mutual respect between devs and users/testers.

I doubt I'm the only one who has reverted to the previous version and since those who didn't lost their save games and had to restart I'd suggest it's a bit early to conclude "the new build seems to be working well enough". Unless most of the changes impact the early game (And how are we to know? There's no release notes.) few players would yet have reached any other newly introduced bugs.

Maybe the energy bug isn't game breaking but it's sloppy, disruptive of Ashley's serum quest line and immersion breaking during sex scenes as you must either manually keep track of participant energy levels, etc, or play the game as a sexual superman.

Combining that with the lack of release notes, its mislabeling as a beta test version and the abdication of responsibility for it by yourself ("dev code") and OverlordCW ('not an official release') is erosive of precisely the goodwill between devs and 'sandbox testers' that you need if you want to get good feedback. If you can't be bothered writing release notes to flag what's changed why should we be bothered trying to specify bugs we find in a way that's useful to you?

On a similar note I'd suggest the Real Porn mod should be packaged separately. I doubt it's many people's erotic cup-of-tea - especially with the vivisection animations - and it doubles the download size. I suspect those who want it would quickly tire of the default vids and replace them with their own - which is probably the sort of user customisation you should encourage.

IIRC the sex shop owner will tell you that she got approached to buy it but tells you it's better if you're the one to get it. This will point you in the right direction, but I don't remember off the top of my head what the exact dependencies are: advancing her quest to a certain point, etc. If you're still stuck lmk and I'll dig through some of my save files to see if I can find when it triggered

I'm confused as all heck. How do I get Lab Rats 2: Reformulate on Android working? The instructions don't help much because I'm doing all of this on a phone. Can someone please help me? Which one do I download? How do I mod the original game? I'm trying to run Reformulate.

Give ibnarabi a pass... He helped compiled everything at his own time and shared it with everyone... If you dont like it, dont download his pack... Everything is available in public. And technically, disregarding the GenAI mod, theres only 3 main mods that still active and practically up to date, which is VT, Kaden and mine, or Kina mod. Theres only few update to the base code last week, and I updated my mod yesterday.
As for changelog... too numerous, but each git update have the list on what changed and you can see the code changes if you so wish.

I do appreciate his work and that of all the devs, but it's for precisely that reason I hate to see it wasted with an ill-considered (not-)release that impacts the trust and goodwill between devs and potential beta testers and thereby hinders the ongoing development of LR2.

You have to select the "develop" branch in git for the up-to-date code.
