Love this game and the 1st iteration...only reason I stopped playing it was bc the women and interactions are too small and hard to see, comparatively. Has there been any MODS or improvements made in this area?
There's one scripted event where Ashley's in your office, and then Stephanie comes in. Ashley hides under the desk and sucks you off while Stephanie is talking to you; the game illustrates this by moving Ashley's model to the middle of the screen and making it larger. I glanced at the decompiled code, and it was just a simple like "make this character larger" kind of command, nothing elaborate at all. So it seems like it should be possible for a modder to make something that adds that type of command every time a character shows up (or at least at the start of a generic sex event), but I wouldn't have any clue how to go about that.

tl;dr up front
Clothing are separate images that are overlayed onto the body.

Long Answer
The characters in LR2 are built piece-wise in the exact same manner that 2D artists use (i.e. The Null Hypothesis). Every body type, face type, hair, emotion, breast type, article of clothing, skin color, cum splatter, and position/stance are all rendered individually and then stitched together to create the models you see. For one position (i.e. stand 4), there are 5317 images that can be used in combination to make any given character.

As for how many images are used for a single piece of clothing? 1200. Starbuck created her own custom cop uniform for Christine, so the number I just mentioned is for the blouse piece. Clipping issues like the one from Draak are a consequence for the versatility in creating characters, scenes, and wardrobes.

To put it mildly: Vren built his own engine within Ren'Py for something he probably intended to use to create endless content.
This is why I laugh every time I hear someone new is "working on updating the models" or adding clothing, or even just faces. Since I don't play the mod I haven't seen the cop uniform but props to Starbuck for putting the work in

It's kinda shocking to me that Vren ever put that much work in on it to begin with. They did such a good job making flat, pre-rendered images look like dynamic 3D, and their reward for all that effort was people thinking it was an easy thing that could be added to without much effort. o_O

If you check the discord, there's some progress on the graphics rework, but it seems like slow progress. Someone has created a new DAZ model and there's new body renders, but no-one has recreated the massive amount of clothing images to overlay on top of them.

Ditto recreating Vren's pipeline to automate the rendering in DAZ. Hardly anyone remembers that the point of the badly received Live2D system was to get rid of almost all of the rendering pipeline and replace thousands of images files with image manipulation in the engine.

okay, I was just told I can use Aura serums now, but there's no difference on the serum or trait page. How do you activate the ability to use aura serums?

Talk with Ashley, there is an option in the third column to talk about the male serums and change them. If you do not have that option yet you need another event with her.

The latest developer build, as of 15 minutes ago, compiled with the current mods -> Virgin Tracker, Kaden, Kina, moresomes, and the new, very large, 0.62 RealPornMod; already integrated within. A few more minor fixes from the last upload. It's 4gigs.

I'd not trust an exe file coming from someone who even has their forum profile on private tbh. Unless the distributed file is from the devs over at discord, it's pretty sus.
Several thousand people have downloaded my uploads without issue, for many months. Perhaps you should just use an antivirus program instead of living in fear.

Any thoughts on how to get the strip club out of business event to trigger. I've reviewed the past threads, but no help there. Can this be done manually some how (say with the console)?
I asked about it some time ago... I don't know if it can be done manually. Of course you must discover the strip club and the sex shop first. You must have 60k in the bank, apparently, and then there's a countdown (10-15 days) for the event to trigger. If it doesn't, you probably have to invest more in the sex shop and/or complete more Cara's events.

Note that I did all of the above and the event still doesn't trigger for me. :)

Devs... you're doing a great job with the game, I enjoyed past couple of updates, but can you please have some semblance of a changelog? I'd like to know why I get a new version so that I can play through changed bits, but instead I have helpful commit messages like:
Fixed: use it_director instead of ellie
Merge branch 'Moleculor-develop-patch-53707' into 'develop'
Fixed: use outfit for check
etc.
I don't mind reading commit messages if there are like 50 of them (so branches with squash), but this is not readable.
Thanks!

Yeah, I just don't understand why this is the one game that doesn't have a readable changelog. There are so many games that make a ton of little changes between updates, and yet still manage to post a digestible list of the most impactful ones.

(Also, if you want the devs to see that message, you'll probably need to post it on the Discord. No idea how well it will be received there.)

I wasn't able to get that to trigger either. But then I haven't been able to rat out Gabrielle to aunt Becky yet either. She's working at the strip club and I think I also hired both of them and then stuff just stopped happening.

That's one thing I kinda hate about this game. I think it's really easy to get permanently locked out of content and it's not easy to tell how you're meant to progress.

The notes are in the code for the many Devs that work on the game.
The reason, I assume, that changelogs rarely exist is that major story reworks are made by one or two of the devs and most of the work is fixing code to be more playable with Verns old code which was a complete mess even though his ideas were IMO great.
Personally, I only have respect for the Devs in this massive mod

That doesn't actually make it better. I like this game, I respect those who are working on it, but I do note that some of them are willing to describe what they are doing, but not those who are doing the actual plot, the part which is most visible and likely to be of the highest concern to players. This does suggest that the respect is not reciprocated.
