Ok, I just tried the version from the first page of the thread - the macOS version appears to not work (as you mentioned, it just opens and disappears). The PC version with mods works through Crossover.

that exactly what happened that why i had to make my own game by using renpy sdk

rat2 artwork is difficult to update
rat1 they can do much more
Of course, I think rat2 is more enjoyable to play than rat1, and its art are also better.

New art always tend to make people more excited
Plot updates require inspiration, and they can also be more prone to getting boring
I don't think it will affect the update of rat2

Easiest at the moment is to use the Windows version under Crossover:

You must be registered to see the links

You could also use Wine directly, but that's more of a headache.

I suspect the Mac build itself could be gotten to run if someone spends enough time working out exactly what's going on - but that's not going to be me at the moment.

Updated my phone from GalaxyS23 to S25 now the game doesn't load on Joiplay or Gamehub.
