It's a compressed batch of image replacements so it will not convert or filter the images in the new content.
@QTmodz - May I suggest giving the files .rar or .zip extensions? Many people wouldn't think to extract the file since it downloaded without an extension.

I only use the uncompressed game though it shouldn't make a difference which version.
