Good news, though. As a former patron, I reached out to him in DM to ask if he’s going to make new games. He said he will—but under a different name and on a new account, so we’ll never know it’s actually him.

Is that a good thing? It seems more scummy than anything else to hide that he's taking money as a dev that's abandoned both games he's worked on.

People should know what they're getting into if he's receiving money from them.

Kinda wild to call a guy “scummy” when he spent three years working on his game for like a hundred bucks a month — and still gave out free links to people who’d stopped donating. I even got one in my DMs with a note like, “Here’s the link, sorry the update took so long.” Never seen another dev do that.

Any dev will drop a game if it doesn’t bring in money — it’s just a matter of time. This one kept going for three years; most give up after one or two updates.

I’d love to see Eva Kiss or DecentMonkey trying to get by on a hundred bucks a month. Pretty sure they’d tell everyone to fuck off within a month.

idk man, didn't he tried the first game with maleficent with same model and abandond it midway?, and now its the same case again. what's stopping him to try again with another angelina jolie model of femme fatale game just to abandond it mid development? it's like banging your head to the wall and expect different result if you just change your position little bit to the left

No idea if he’s gonna use the Jolie model in his next game. He said he doesn’t want people to recognize him, but come on — with that model, everyone’s gonna know it’s him instantly:WeSmart:

Well, honestly i don't care so much about his past, if he comes with another name wanting to try again he is free to do that, at that point he will be just another new dev that will have to build his reputation. Of course that would be pointless if he have to come just to drop the game again after some updates but I believe into giving people second/third/forth chances since people may learn from their past errors. Will he? Honestly we can just hope so, his works were really good quality imho, i would really have more, hoping that he will find whatever he needs to keep working on a project to its end. All in all we (as gamers) can only benefit if he does and coming back with another name would give him less pressure.

My suggestion to Old DVD (hoping that he still reads here) is to take his time to plan his future game. Evidently something went bad with the past ones, maybe focusing on a single (even if goregeous) protagonist made him feel too cramped after some updates, maybe the issue is this kind of vertical narration or maybe he just find himself stuck due lack of planning the plot in advance. Only he can know what made him quit his past works so just look at those and avoid to do the same mistakes again.
