This version was scrapped some time ago and was never finished, let alone bug tested or refined. It was remade (the remake is Here) and that version is what's on Steam.
I just got to the area with the wasps or whatever they are and I'm stuck. I've been trying to rescue girls but it says I need potions that I don't have...Any tips?
Is this question for the original or the remake? If it's for the remake then the latest version modified the rescue mechanic to require both normal and magic potions. Take secretions to the potion maker in the church and have them converted to potions. when you talk to the potion lady again she'll give you potions and magic potions equal to the amount of secretion potions made.

You know replying to a 4.5 year old comment usually isn't that helpful... Than the dialogue box he was referring to was never translated even when the game was set to English... And he was translating the text for someone who was wondering what the untranslated text said...
