We honestly don't know, ZXC just makes/ improves it as he goes but has never really stated an end goal with this game. But as far as we know he still wants to work on it which is fine by me.
They're just renames of the old MA, MD, Agi, and luck stats. So you do really need to advance some of them through level ups to advance in the game.

I think it was bugged out at the time of posting. Personally I'd suggest waiting for a while before freaking out that a website / part of website is gone. Especially on large sites, where the data is on multiple servers that may need to be taken down for maintenance.

In addition to the tentacle, you can lose to the latex orbs in the latex forest zone (same area with the first event about latex in the river) and some of the slime enemies (can't remember the specific ones).
