Hi guys, I'm here to tell you that I'm still working on the LLS remake chapter 1, several new scenes have been added to the game so it's taking me so long to finish it. I have a good amount of content but I want to make it perfect and make sure you get the best. I'm working non-stop day and night but I'm very happy with the results.

Although this isn't a regular LLS update, you'll see new scenes that I didn't get a chance to add in the old version and that I'm sure you'll love to see.

Anyone who wants to share save files for the renpy version I would appreciate it-was near the end and lost the laptop that this was on. As many saves as possible would be great so I don't have to go through and resave everything-appreciate you in advance(Lost quite a few games so if you see me around in the next few weeks that's why)

Dark, every day we are waiting for a news from you, a detail, personally I'm fed up, I don't know about other people, we loved a game, we became a follower, we gave financial support, but there is no response. I look at other game makers, they make updates in 1 month, maybe 45 days, at least they share information, but you publish a picture once a month and disappear, I supported you on patreon, but I will not be after that, I'm really sorry to say that I'm fed up, I will not follow you in the forum here. good luck to you

You will be the first one to download the new update when it comes out, just stop it.

Name three devs that release on a monthly basis.

Mircom3d, Nosygull, project myriam creator, sadpepper. These I know cuz I play them and they are on schedule. There could be more.

While I get it where you are coming from, but it's not fair to say every dev is delaying as per you .
Mircom3D released an update just a few days ago. Before that, it had been a little over a month, and prior to that, over two months. This is for a simple visual novel with Daz3D renders which is the easiest and least time-consuming type of game to produce. So, on your first suggestion, you're clearly mistaken.

Nosygull hasn’t released anything since early March, and we’re now in June. That alone disproves your claim.

I didn’t bother checking the rest, since the first two examples already failed to meet the standard.

I never once suggested that developers were intentionally delaying anything. In fact, I didn’t make any accusations at all. My only point was that maintaining a consistent one-month release cycle between patches is something extremely rare among the thousands of developers out there, especially for those working in very small teams and facing all kinds of limitations.

Not everyone has the same budget, the same schedule, or the same game in terms of complexity, art direction, animation quality, original music, sound design, writing, or attention to detail. These variables significantly increase the time and effort required to deliver something polished.

People are far too quick to criticize, as if pushing out content rapidly is just a matter of willpower. Everyone seems to want the Mona Lisa delivered at the pace of a stick figure sketch. The reality is that game development is demanding, time-consuming, and often mentally exhausting, even for the most basic projects.

If you really want to understand how difficult it is and how much time even minor features can consume, try developing a game yourself. There are plenty of free tools available, and other ways to access more advanced ones if you're determined. Until you’ve been through it firsthand, it’s easy to underestimate what’s involved.

You'd be very surprised how easy that is.
Surprise me.

I think you are mistaken about Nosygull. His last release was in May not March. About that mircom, 2 month delay he had said it already that he would be going on holiday and pausing it a bit.

I think you didn't notice my profile. I was involved in game developing for a year or two before I left. The game is still here , just another team developing it. And I know what behind the scenes are like. Someday you don't feel like it but still have to give in the hard yards.

I agree maintaining a monthly schedule is very hard unless the content is very little. Quality thing needs time that I know. But if set a realistic approach to development lot can be done.

Anyway. Let's not drag this on too much.
Cheers. Have a good day.:)

His "May" release was simply making a March release public.

Regarding developing, I was generalizing.

Everything else you said I can agree with to an extent.
