Kinda dissapointed not gonna lie. I expected a lot more content with Dark rerendering scenes in higher quality and changing some scenes, but this is a complete remake from the ground up. All the scenes are different. Also felt very short. I read on discord that there are 8 days in this update, but that's a bit misleading. It's not 8 days worth of content. Its 4 days worth of introductions and 4 days of playing a bar minigame with rather insignificant scenes in 2 of those minigames. This is by all means an introduction with very little in terms of what the original RPGM had brought over.

You can't really expect the first remake update to catch up to all the content at once. I would suggest everyone to treat it like a new game. You usually don't get sexual action in the very first update. It takes time to build up.

Yes, but at the same time, it's reasonable to expect more content than the usual update when the groundwork is already there. I mean, there's a lot less content here than there was in chapter 2 0.1 with the first transition to renpy. I'll take a wild guess here and say the lack of content is mainly because of the unnecessarily animated standing pictures. Those definitely look like they took way too long to render while not adding much to the experience. It's actually creepy to see the characters blink in every loop.

All in all, I just think it would've been better if he had kept to rerendering the RPGM scenes for Renpy and added scenes here and there rather than this full reimagining of the game. The quality just doesn't live up to the hype so far.

Edit: actually take some of my criticism back for now. Read Dark's comment on the discord saying there's another update next week. I'm hoping he fills out those boring 4 days of working at Joe's bar. Still hope he drops the fully animated pictures. Pretty hard to appreciate the renders when it's blinking at you every three seconds.
