Only canon "justification" for Samara being selfish that I've found so far, is is the possibility to be on both her and Taylor's "love-path" at the same time, despite her being Taylor's best friend.
Going through the Samara stuff atm, might be we have to wait a few more episodes but she just get's more likeable, they all do honestly. With Rose It's just weird seeing as she's basically MC's ride or die BF.

Just like you are, he was talking about his own concerns. He didn't say that saying Rose or her route is ruined is because of a lack of sex. He said that rushing into a sex scene with Rose was something he was concerned about, and it appears that that won't be the case, so that's a good thing for him.

Has MM ever clarified why she isnt an all path LI? I dont understand the hard lock to a path for Rose either, makes alot less sense then some of the other cross path LI's.
Well, I wouldn't say she's ruined. I'd rather say she hasn't changed at all. I've written before that for me Rose is just a friend, nothing more. And DEV has confirmed this even better in this update. Apologies in advance to all Rose fans, but this girl is the weakest "female" character. Yes, unfortunately DEV refuses to give her any femininity compared to the others. A very nice and shapely ass, cute tits, and that's it. She still has the soul of a child in her, which makes every scene of hers a joke, considering her age. This episode even made a joke out of her masturbating. And then, to top it off, she had an idiotic misunderstanding with Lana. I firmly believe that DEV doesn't take this otherwise cute character seriously at all. Of course, since she's "LI", I also wish Rose the attention she deserves in the future, like the other girls...
That's just how it looks (or might look) at the moment. Obviously it's not going to be a case of setting Rose up with another guy instead of getting with her yourself. There wouldn't be a Rose path if that was the case. What we have at the moment in that respect is misunderstanding, which will presumably resolve itself, at least to a degree, in the next update (presuming the party is in the next update). The way I see it, the cross-path LIs aren't about who makes the most overall sense in terms of the endgame, it's about which three have the most impact on the overall story. Which three have storylines that are going to crossover regardless of what your personality type is and what girls you might be flirting with.
Yea I noticed that S1 has very neutrally spread first days, but in this first bit of S2 you have a lunch date with Sana OR olive, and obv its either Alt or Neutral paths, so you lock out either way.
They aren't all going to get to the same point at the same time. Some will take longer than others, just look at Danielle's path also for example. I would argue that she has even less screen time than Rose.
Well I just think what you describe has always been pretty much her character, her role is both to be the best friend secretly in love that goes unnoticed and also to be the comedic character when compared to other girls.
