Yeah I dont think ive said this game is shit or anything just that the writing is below average and nobody seems to be able to say why its so well written only that it is despite the MC causing the most issues even for people who say the game is 5* ( more or less perfect?) I dont care if this becomes the most successful game, or if nobody plays the next update and it gets abandoned. Once I go to sleep i doubt ill ever be in this thread again because like its been shown i dont gel with this game and that doesnt seem like it will change going forward. I just thought that maybe after the release things would be changed (happens most often after a 0.1), or maybe the writing was just weak at the start and once people are introduced but going by people who say they like the game that does not seem to be case. And lets be honest with how incredibly fucking stacked the rest of Dec/ jan is going to be for AVN releases I doubt ill even have time if i wanted too

For what its worth, I think Ch. 2 is better than ch. 1.

And I think plenty of characters are well written, with solidly fleshed out characterizations and personalities (The main teacher, Alan, Jack, Lana and Mike and some of the MGs) Even MC, when MM remembers to turn his brain back on (its still a porn game, so porn game things have to happen like the Library sequence). Even the blackmail subplot is wrapped up (for now, anyway) in the most logical way under the circumstance

thankfully a few of the "more recent" college (and or sports) games are finally realizing that you can write another guy without having him be a cuck or a cackling rape-y mustache twirling villain, we truly are in the reiwa era of college focused porn games

I agree with the criticisms of the MC, he's more naive and innocent than you'd expect from him, he should be the one standing up to the "formidable" Mike, especially since they've declared themselves rivals, but they aren't on the same level, they're opposites, honestly, I wish Mike were the MC.

The MC is still trying to be the perfect guy, but in the wrong way, which is partly why I believe the story is written by a woman. (I won’t discuss this!!!)

Which is the most lame College event ever. No alcohol and even loud music is a problem

and everyone is so easily impressed by it … hes way too simple minded to be a lawyer.

I met some extremely sheltered kids in college. Actually find a lot of the dialogue pretty accurate. I definitely knew an Olive. She was cute but could be extremely difficult to be around. Touch of the tism and an extremely preachy vegan is a bad combo for social situations

So far, the MC being good at basketball doesn't seem to have plot relevance, either. Which is fine, tbh. He doesnt need to be a star player on the college basketball team (apparently the school doesnt even have a team but there's probably a "yet" in there).

Well, apparently he still has to be a star basketball player, even though it's got no plot relevance, or else why would this even be in the game? It seems like the point is to just pile on all the Gary Stu traits you could think of. The MC is the tallest, the fittest, he's got the best speeches and he's so studious, all he wants is after hours library access. What a guy.
The main plot of episode two is basically that being the center of attention comes with a lot of responsibility. That's so over the top, it's not even a fun power fantasy anymore. I wish the LIs were the center of attention of this game instead of the MC.

I think I made the right conclusion to first play the game and than read the thread here. And after several pages it turned out to be the better choice. Not seeing the spoilers.

As mentioned earlier, after finishing episode 1 again and enjoying it just as much as the first time episode 2 was jus as great! The story is building so nice I whish I could wait untill the game is finished but that is no option becoming sponsor of this super game.

The game fits me like a glove. Enjoying and hating characters but that is the intention of MisterMaya. I could kill Andrea and Aurora but that is written to be. Elsa being hard to get is normal as well. But I hope this will go further. Taylor is also one of my favourites, but I really have nothing with Rose. A little tooooooo much of everything. And sweet Miranda..... I am looking forward to monday evening! Look if I can nail her.

And where I am also looking forward to is how Mike and MC are going during the game. They seem good now but how this will develop is also interesting.

At last, The entrepeneur was good. But this will be great! I can not wait for episode 3.

There's definitely porn logic and silliness and the occasional detour into outright absurdist comedy just because. And I also assume MisterMaya is a woman because of some of the dialogue interactions and choices that don't ring true from a male POV.

Regardless, the renders are good and if you are willing to suspend disbelief (and aren't bothered by the really buggy animations), I find the game fun. I wouldn't personally cite it as a top tier AVN, but I think it's better than a lot of the offerings around.

Hey MisterMaya ! I've now happily played through your new VN 'Law School' from the beginning to the end of episode 2, and I'm really excited! I think your story is really well written! Entertaining, funny and very appealing. With games like this, I like to get sucked into the plot and live it to the full...I think the graphics are very good, as with 'The Entrepreneur' (I found you through this VN) - which I also really, really liked, and the story is also very nicely written, IMO. I hope my English isn't too difficult to understand, I use Google to help me with that because my native language is German. Congratulations for this great game, I've signed up as a Patreon (for the whole of next year at least) and thank you for the entertaining hours you've given me and numerous other players! I think you can see the effort and passion you put into your work! I'm really looking forward to the next update!

Great game, I think I prefer it to The Entrepreneur so far.

As far as the girls are concerned it was Rose for me, but now Miranda has overtaken her, she really is gorgeous. Plus she has the added bonus of being mute, so no nagging! Kidding...maybe.

I would have thought that she would have been the first one to jump in to help him when he's being pushed up against a wall and yelled at. I would have expected at least a "Get your hands off him!" from someone who is apparently your best friend.
I get that the whole thing was a misunderstanding of what happened in the shower with Miranda and then after during their conversation, but still....some friend.

That's part of the absurdist humor that just randomly shows up. Just like the random anime-like punches that happen every now and then betwen the two. Agree it feels out of place, but I think it's just the dev's style as it was in the last game too.

Its a bit. And its pretty consistent with the depiction of their friendship. If it was a random one-off it's be weird

I don't know if it's path specific, but the way I see it is MC fucked Lana, didn't tell Rose, then Lana tells Rose and Rose is clearly a bit upset by it (because her best friend kept it from her, but also perhaps because she is jealous). Then this happens shortly after Rose finds out (or I think after she has a chat with MC about it?) and she's still a bit upset by it, maybe feeling he's betrayed her, and so is saying he's not worth it. A few hours later, she probably would have cooled down about it and not said/done what this screenshot portrays.
