I like this discussions. But why not making every girl Tier 1 and nail her?

Long term it would mean too many replays of a game I don't want to replay that many times. No offense to MM but I don't think the story is worth 9+ replays, especially once it is more complete. I barely stand BaDIK at 5 (and now you need even more with the Others route causing branching too). Characters like Rose I've already soured on so I have no desire to see in lewd situations.

I'm not trying to be too negative about it, I like the VN. Coming from the Entrepreneur, I'm just hesitant that this will be completed in a way that will be satisfying.

Any clue how to get the 6th scene in the gallery?

Back in the classroom when you had the speech introduction to Mike, you had a choice between a charismatic type speech and an intelligent type speech. You picked the charismatic one, and the dream sequence was with Caroline. Go back to that speech and pick the other option, you'll get a dream sequence with Selena in place of Caroline.

I shouldn't hold that too much against him though, if there's one thing I've learned from VNs, it's that endings are extremely hard to pull off. I've lost count of the number of VNs that I liked that move into ending territory and completely go to shit.

I hope that doesn't happen with Law School because I think it has promise. It also has Miranda so I'm willing to put up with a lot of bs for that.

You are right. Ending are always terrible for most devs. One of the best ending I ever played was Leap of faith.

I wouldn't expect it. This first season is meant to introduce the characters and set up the stakes. We still have to figure out Danielle, make headway with Sana, and expand on Samara. Miranda's "date" is happening too. Rose got a pretty heavy scene (the dinner) in ep 2 so she'll probably just be around in the next episode. Still, not gonna turn down a lewd scene if one presents itself.

0% chance at a Lana/Rose threesome in Ep 3. It would be completely out of place and rushed. You need that heartfelt solo sex scene with Rose first where she sheds being friend zoned.

It would be kind of funny if Lana and Rose drag the MC out to a club, messy drunken threesome happens, Rose has to struggle with whether she can/should move forward with MC, and the MC can stay or get off those rails. Heartfelt solo scene comes after.

It's not like I'm telling everyone to avoid Rose. I was just using her as an example of one fewer route I would have to run in this. I've gotta be really into something to do want to do it 9+ times. There's quite a few multi route VNs I just didn't bother seeing all the content on so I could move on to other things (LoF, CoBD, Deliverance). Others I do try to see all the content (BaDIK, Intertwined, Acting Lessons).

Who knows, maybe something happens down the road that changes my mind.

I'll rehash my beef but I can't speak for everyone. In my opinion she shouldn't even be at this school. Her goal sounds well enough but her character isn't actively doing anything to reach said goal, at least not at this point in the story. Instead, her entire character arc/personality is centered around being comedic relief/learning to deal with blossoming feelings for her best friend. It's already an overused trope and her doubling down on the library gig when the MC realized it comes with access after hours put the final nail in the coffin for me. If it was any other LI that took the job, then I'd understand. They don't know the MC, they don't know his aspirations, how he works, etc. Rose does and she took the job anyway and the MC forgives her because you can't dump any of the LIs 2 episodes in. Lack of player agency is a pretty huge negative in this VN but I think it's simply to give us a chance to understand each LI before the route system kicks in and then we'll get more power.

The library thing killed Rose for me. I understand why the MC hangs out with her (long term friendship, etc) but I don't have that experience and what she did left me speechless.

I kinda more blame the dev for that. They wanted the lingerie store plotline, and more forced Aurora time to defrost their animosity. It seemed out of character for Rose.

I think a lot of it (from what I've seen people speak about, at least) is because she's the childhood best friend and maybe as well that she's a bit clingy. There's a lot of "stay in the friendzone where I put you" sort of talk. Personally, I have no issue with it, and that can actually make it sweeter, which is why I made my comment about "making sweet, sweet love" the first time it happens.

No, absolutely. You only mentioned her, and not in a way that suggested hate, but I was referring to the broader scale of people not liking her "trying to get out of the friendzone". That part of my response wasn't directed at you, it was only that you prompted me to speak about my own thoughts on her.

There should definitely be more than one clerk on staff. Might be something suspended disbelief is supposed to handle. Then again, this is a weird amalgamation of law school and college. They are vastly different experiences. Selena might be a terrible librarian as well. Maybe she spends all day thinking about Caroline.

So the three LIs with mysteries, it seems pretty straightforward to me.

Miranda: is Miss E. She lost her voice to an illness recently, and that's why she had to do a career change. She even reacted when Danielle mentioned having rock stars around.

Taylor: her parents died last year. That's why she had to drop out that year, and that's why her parents 'went back to Europe,' to be buried. She's sad and doesn't want to talk about it.

Sana: she's almost certainly the kid of a crime family and Viktor is her bodyguard. I would be happily surprised if that was somehow avoided, but seems very straightforward.


Hard to pick a current favourite LI, which is a good sign (though managing all the branches can be a pain). Lana was an early lead, but didn't really like her character redesign for chapter 2 (or some of the other redesigns), and since then she's treading water in easy lay territory. Rose has that best friend connection, which is a trope that often pays dividends. Mirabella is my current fav of the classmates, just too damn cute and her hair when it's not coiffed is amazing. Elsa has the lead for staff, though Danielle is stepping on her red-head territory, but haven't seen enough of her. Taylor seems like one of the best matches for the MC, values wise. Chemistry seems to be there as well. Samara is hot, but I don't know if she's an LI (same with Fang). Olive dances on that line of adorable and annoying, and I'm not sure which she'll radiate, line by line. But I can see the appeal.

No one else seemed like a good long term option, but they all seem great for a few flings.

It's a game with promise.

I hope Danielle gets better but honestly she is my most disliked character and she is a LI over Lana sadly

Honestly, it would make a lot more sense as some sort of 'pre-law summer school/camp' thing that takes place after high school and before college. The attitudes and behaviors of the cast would make more sense, it would still get them away from home and be able to be an intensive, lawyer-focused setting, and it would avoid the weird cognitive dissonance of them treating law school like their first day of college.

As for Rose, I find her a clingy cockblocker, who is permitted to not treat the MC particularly well because she makes cute faces and they have a history. I think MM needed to do a better job of showing the positives of their relationship before she started getting in the way of everything. But I know everyone has their own feelings about her.

(I also find Lana super dull, so I'm fine with her not being a LI.)

I always did the summer camp thing in between years at high school (math camp, literature camp, etc). The gap between junior and senior year, I remember being mad that they scheduled Governor's School and Boys State too close together to do both easily. While it would be too young to do for VN sake, the attitudes and atmosphere here is very close to what I experienced at Governor's School. So I agree with the summer camp premise.

As for Rose, the MC has that long term relationship but the player doesn't, and it's hard to convey that quickly, especially if it's someone with Rose's personality, who will rapidly either endear or alienate someone.

I really dislike the childhood best friend trope, so they have to be special for me to let them out of the friendzone. Rose isn't that special to me, and her clinginess/whining which obviously many people like (considering how popular those girls are in AVNs) just annoys me. And then the constant 'My best friend Rose dialogue' I find cringy. She's not Poochie!

Luckily for me 5 or 6 of the other LIs are outstanding, so I can move on with the others.

And TBH her eyes do creep me out a bit.
