Hello everyone,
Last week was a strange one. I spent four days writing that last and major scene for Day 4—one packed with big revelations, plot twists, and the introduction of aforementioned important characters for the first time. It ended up being over 1,000 lines of dialogue, making it the biggest scene in the game so far. Writing it was oddly exhausting, and while I hadn't planned to take four whole days to complete it, that’s how long it took. As a result, I didn’t work on 3D from Tuesday to Saturday. However, I dedicated my entire Saturday to preparing the scene—setting up characters, lighting, and everything else—so I could hit the ground running on Sunday.
Maybe that was the right call because yesterday, I set a new personal record: 106 renders in a single day! My previous best was 102, so it’s a small but satisfying victory. It helped salvage the week, though I’m absolutely knackered today after not getting much sleep. Hopefully, I can shake that off by tomorrow.
But hey, that's the price I’m willing to pay!
On another note, things are progressing smoothly with the secret project I’m working on, and I’ll be able to share more about it soon.
The one thing that’s bothering me right now is my animator. They’ve been kind of ghosting me, and I’m still waiting for animations from the second lewd scene—on top of the four (maybe even five) more still needed for this episode. This is the biggest potential bottleneck for the update. I’ll wait a few more weeks, but if nothing changes, I might have to bring in another animator to split the workload. The main issue is, they're not easy to find (good ones that is).
I’m definitely not doing the lewd animations myself—unless you all really want to relive the Entrepreneur animations all over again.
Now, let’s talk numbers:
1,480 static story images
59 animations
27 fully written scenes
Since last week, I only managed 133 renders—short of my original goal of 200, which is now this week's target. The big scene currently has 119 images and will probably need another 250–300 before it's done. Will I finish it this week? Honestly, I doubt it. But I’ll give it my best shot.
In other news, next week, I’ll be taking a few much-needed days “off”—which basically means I’ll work 3–4 hours a day instead of my usual 12. I’ll also be posting the weekly update on Tuesday, which is when I’ll start this relax week.
Hopefully, it helps me recharge a bit.
So yeah, a weird week, but progress is still progress, and that can’t be a bad thing, right?
See you all next week—have a great one!
