God... Im so scared to play this game

I was hesitant for a while to play this game because I'd heard about the potentially emotionally raw topic it includes. That's a pretty personal subject for me because if you change the specifics, there's many parallels between my actual partner and the fictional LI involved with the topic in this AVN.

I'm glad I went ahead and played it. The majority of the game is sweet and fun, with good comedy. When the more serious topics come up, it's treated with respect and the emotional significance it deserves. Don't get me wrong, tears were shed. But the payoff was worth it for me.

Obviously only you can decide if you're in a healthy state for emotionally charged material. But if you are in a good enough state to deal with it, I wouldn't let knowing it touches on suicide turn you off the game.

Don't be. In the end, you'll be glad you did.

Imagine the folks that were playing this VN while it was a work in progress? The jarring events tend to come at the end of a chapter - all those folks had to wait months to find out if things resolved the way they hoped they would, but couldn't know for sure. If you've read any of this thread, you'll know things can work out, so while you'll be on the rollercoaster, it will continue to roll and not pause at the top of the hill for six months.

I mean, there's only one(ish) choice where that doesn't happen ... but yea, her reaction there is definitely a guilt trip for the player.
